Two in Ten!

Posted by Deena on May 6, 2008

I’ve set a new personal record! I made two cards in ten minutes! They were both made from one sheet of card stock, one sheet of 6 X 6 decorative paper, and two complementary colored pieces of scrap paper. One stamp and one 21 inch length of ribbon.

I cut the pale plum into two 6″X 6 1/2″ pieces and folded them leaving me with two base cards of 6″ X 3 1/4″ The dp was cut into two 6″ X 3″ pieces for the front panels. I cut the ribbon into 5 lengths. One 7″ piece, two 4″ pieces, and two 3″ pieces. Using my So many Scallops birthday stamp I stamped once on each complementary scrap (pink)(teal), using Taken with Teal ink. With my 1 1/4″ SU circle punch I punched the middle circle out of both. Then I used my SU scallop punch to punch out both scallops. I used the center of one colour in the center of the other colour scallop. Then all I had to do was assemble the cards. Ialso highlighted the candles with a Sakura stardust pen for some shimmer.

Easy! Fun! Fast! Love it!

Paper- Basic Grey Gypsy, SU Pale Plum cs

Ink- Taken with Teal SU

Accessories- Ribbon Pretty in Pink, Scallop punch, circle punch Stampin’ UP!

While I was uploading these to SCS I realized the colors remind me of my Sweet Sixteen…I wore pink cotton pants with pink suspenders!! AAAck! Think Pinky from Happy Days! I had a box lunch social which my mother convinced me would be fun because she did it when she was a teenager! She was right. It was fun! Especially since we rigged it so that the guy I liked would get my lunch! hehe!
Anyone know what I’m talking about when I say box lunch social?

Have a great day!

  1. WOW, ten minutes and they are still super cute!! Way to go!!

  2. Box lunch socials are from MY time and I could most likely be your grandmother. But they were fun in the olden days and they are still fun now!
