I don’t have a lot of time tonight because I have to get to bed! My chickies are asleep and anxiously awaiting the bunny to pass so they can get up bright and early, no doubt, to see what old long ears has left them! I can’t wait to see them hunt high and low for their goodies! Easter, for me, ranks right up there with Christmas as a truly fun holiday!
I posted this card that I made a while back, because it is sunny and cheerful and full of happy Easter wishes to all of you!
Have a wonderful Easter!
Thanks for coming over!

Hi Everyone!~
As soon as I saw these cute little baskets on Nancy Morgan’s blog I new I had to try them too! She has a great tutorial on her site too, so go check it out! You’ll find a link to her blog (papersmiles) in my blogroll.
I made these this afternoon, and it took me no time at all! They were fast and easy. I thought they would be great for my Easter table, the kids and to give to my babysitter as a little gift from the boys. Any way you use them, I think they’ll be enjoyed.

What I used: Groovy Guava card stock- Stampin’ Up, Stampin’ Up dp, DCWV dp, K& Co. dp, for scallops and flowers, mini brads-dollar store, various ribbons-Offray ribbons

Easy Easter Envelope
“Thou shalt not covet..” your neighbor’s Easter basket?? O.K. I’m not actually talking about that kind of envy…but rather an ‘envy’ lope! Because this little basket is made from an ordinary, everyday envelope!
Since Easter is next weekend, I thought some of you might appreciate a quick gift for the kids or even a co-worker! Some of you pros out there could probably whip this one up on your break in the supply room! lol
SCS had a recent challenge to make these fun envelope bags. I wanted to make another so I photographed the steps to share with you.
MY FIRST mini tutorial! Woohoo! I hope you like it!
Supplies
- Envelope (white, cream, coloured)
- Large tag punch (optional)
- Stamps of your choice
- printed paper
- Embellishments of your choice
Seal the envelope. If you have a tag punch align the punch just at the outer edge of the top of the envelope and punch. Do this on the other side as well, to form a handle. If your handle is not long enough, punch another half length of the punch the same way you did the first ones. If you don’t have a tag punch, just cut a rectangle out of the top two sides of the envelope, to form your handle.
Cut away the turned up end pieces straight across or on a downward angle if you prefer.
I used a Weave background stamp to stamp the entire envelope in Taken with Teal SU ink. You can stamp the envelope or leave as is. The next step is decorating your bag the way you like!
Printed decorative paper was my choice for the main front panel of the envelope. I ran a strip of chocolate ribbon from just under the front panel piece, all the way down the back side. Added the same panel piece on the back. I added a scallop circle from the same paper and used the reverse side for the flower in the center. A cute little dollar store flower brad holds it all together. The tag is the punched piece from the envelope itself ( I hate to waste anything) and it is stamped with a To and From stamp, and a floral from the Friendship Blooms SU set.
The Finished Project!
Backgrounder Weave Stamp-Cornish Heritage Farms /Floral swirls (Friendship Blooms)& To & From- Stampin’ Up!/Patterned paper- Stampin’ Up Porcelain Prints / SU Taken with Teal Ink
Please let me know what you think! Was this tutorial useful? If so, I will try to have more like this in the future. I hope it has inspired a few of you out there to try one!

Hello!
Today I made a card that combined two challenges, using the Inspiration Challenge from SCS, and Sharon’s blog (No Time to Stamp) challenge asking us to pierce your paper!.
Chocolate Egg
I do not have an oval shape cutter, so I freehanded the egg shaped card.
I used glitter gel writers to colour in some of the dots on the dp, then I added SU dazzling diamonds on top of these.
The mini egg is stamped with a chocolate chip bunny and colored with metallic pencil and glitter pens. The edge around the egg is outlined in pink glitter and blue dots. The whole egg is dipped in Stampin’ Up dazzling diamond glitter.
The Blue strip is pierced free hand for more eggcellent decoration!
TIP of the day: Paper Piercing
You do not need fancy templates to paper pierce. If you are good at doodling, draw a light pencil marked doodle where you want the piercing, then pierce holes appr. 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch apart following the marking. Erase the marking and you’re done.
If you are not good at freehand doodling you can make your own templates! All you need is some tracing paper and a fun pattern, even your swirly stamps or faux stitch style stamps would work well. Trace the pattern. Use this as your guide for piercing, by placing it on the area of the card you want to pierce. Make sure not to move the paper, and pierce through both layers at 1/8 to 1/4 inch intervals! You can use a temporary bond adhesive to keep the tracing paper from moving too.
If you think you will use the same pattern more than once, transfer your tracing paper pattern to a sturdier piece of card stock. Pierce the pattern on the card stock and presto! You have a reusable piercing template!
Hope these tips are useful! Any questions? Ask away!
