Making Time For Family

I am flying out the door this morning for doctor AND dentist appointments! Aargh! So I will post the deets on this new card later this afternoon!

Have a better morning! 🙂

Time for Family

I’m back! After needles and drilling and a crown…what fun! My 6 yr old also had dental work done today. He was an angel about it too!! He had his two front teeth pulled to let his adult teeth grow in behind them! He also needed a small cavity filled  😦  unfortunately he has soft teeth like me. He brushes diligently! He was sooo good about going to the dentist, no fuss, no tears, sat still in the chair and thanked the dentist when it was done! He was all excited afterwards, because he got two rows of stickers which he immediately gave half of to his little brother. These are the moments that make a mommy proud! Awww.

Well, now, on to more interesting stuff for you! The deets on this card!

I used Beate’s sketch challenge from last weekend for the layout. If you don’t know who Beate is…YOU SHOULD! You’re in for a treat if you go check out her blog!

This was also made for the challenge to use eyelets over at SCS. I had this time theme in my head for a week or so, and it was the perfect opportunity to use it. I am pleased with how it turned out. Sometimes, I find, when you have a card plan in mind it rarely translates to paper the way you think it will! In this case, it changed along the path from brain to paper, but I like it.

Card Supplies:

  • Stamps- Cornish Heritage Farms– Time to Stamp
  • Ink- Ranger Distress Antique Photo, Stampin’ Up Really Rust, Chocolate Chip
  • Paper- DCWV-Far East stack, DCWV- white core text. neutrals stack, gold metallic mat stack,SU- Chocolate Chip cs
  • Accessories-real watch bits (from my grandfather’s watch making days), brass eyelets, SU Chocolate Chip Ribbon

Hope you like it! I appreciate you stopping by and love your comments! Thanks so much!
