Cornish Heritage Farms is having a week of Backgrounder challenges! I just LOVE their backgrounders! If you have not had a chance to see these beautiful stamps, you really should take a few minutes and head on over to CHF to have a peek!! They are a full 5 3/4″ by 4 1/4″ ! This means you can stamp an entire card front with it! They have 90 to choose from and are adding more every month! They are wonderful for creating your own decorative paper. There are so many ways to use them too, as I am finding out by participating in the Backgrounder Blitz!
They are also giving away a free bg stamp each day to one lucky winner!
All you have to do is try the challenge and link it up with them or post it in your own gallery on their site. You can have a look at mine while your over there checking out the backgrounders! š
For the card above, the challenge was to use partial backgrounders. In other words, ink up only part of the stamp and stamp it on the paper, or stamp part of the paper with the stamp. You could also “fade” the stamp by inking part of it a darker color than the rest.
I loved the idea of partial bg stamping so I really wanted to do this one. I also used Monday’s CHF sketch. Yes! They have sketch challenges too!
I used my two brand new backgrounders; Floral and Pretty Pattern for the partial stamping on the background paper which is actually a bit paler in real life and not so orange! There is a close up to show you the Pretty Pattern on the left trailing to the bottom right, and the Floral bg stamped on the top right.
The main circle image is from the Beautiful set from the rummage bin, also found at CHF. It is a partial image as well, stamped on Crate paper dp.
I used Kelly Panacci clear stamps for the faux stitching in the top right corner.
All dp – Crate Paper
Stamps- Beautiful, Pretty Patterns bg, floral bg, Kelly Panacci clear stamps, For the Men (sentiment)
Whisper White Cs for card base

I hope you like it! It was a lot of fun to make.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone! I will not be able to post for a day or two, but I will have a new card tutorial for you and a twist on a Trifold pocket card to share with you! Hope you will check back here on Sunday!
Talk to you then!
