Hello all! Yesterday’s SCS technique lovers challenge was to make a grid on our cards. This is a simple technique, and you can use your Scor-Pal or just a ruler and any scoring tool. You will find a great tutorial HERE.
I went shopping on the weekend!! My local scrapbook store recently moved to a new (bigger) location, so i just had to check it out! They have lots of yummy paper, accessories, ribbons, and tools, but best of all they have a good selection of My Favorite Things Stamps and a great selection of Bella Stamps! Of course i had to buy at least one Bella (tyler the jock) and I found a fabulous package of 17 SandyLion stamps! They’re an assortment of the cutest little animals with stitch lines around their edges like the charming bird that I used on this card.
I made a grid background using my Scor-Pal, then stamped over it in versamark with my Floral backgrounder stamp. This technique is a great way to add texture and dimension to a card.
The main image is colored with a blender pen and my aqua promarkers, and Ranger distress ink.
The sentiment is stamped using the DIY JustRite monogram stamp wood block. I am loving this monogram set!
Stamps:JustRite monogram stamper Curlz alpha, Sandy Lion Stamps, Cornish Heritage Farms Floral backgrounder
Paper: Bazzill Basics, Crate Paper Blue Hill Breeze,
Ink: Taken With Teal, Ranger Distress china blue ink

a lovely card – sorry i have not dropped by in so long x

What a cool technique! I haven’t done this one yet. I don’t own a Scor-it or Scor-Pal yet. (I KNOW! Can you believe that???) I might try my regular old Fisckars trimmer with a score blade and see if that works! It made up a darling card!! Hope all is well Deena!!
