It’s my turn to host the SBS18 Challenge this week! How Does Your Garden Grow? is the theme and there is only ONE LIMIT; NO obvious flowers/herbs/plants etc on your patterned paper.
Want to play along? Our challenges are open to anyone and are not limited to any specific stamps or stamp companies! I’m offering a prize too, so hop on over to our SBS18 Challenge Blog for more details, and have a look at the other design team samples to get your inspiration on! Come on, you know you want to! 🙂
I don’t actually have a garden! 🙂 I love wild flowers and natural settings over a picture perfect manicured lawn and garden. I even like some weeds! :0 Dandelions are not my enemy, take a second look, they’re pretty yellow flowers! (don’t call me crazy, I just think we’re awfully hard on these poor plants!) hehe.
Anyway my garden is not so perfect and a bit wild and it definitely grows with abandon!
This wild flower stamp is from Autumn Leaves and I love it’s simple appeal. I colored it by pouncing chalks over the different areas I wanted colored. The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms and I’ve added a metal “B” for a bit of variation. I added the Stampin’ Up hodgepodge hardware in the top right for interest as well. I love how a few accents like this can transform a card and give a little extra oomph! The papers are from Cosmo Cricket’s Fleuriste . Aren’t these rich tones wonderful? I can’t get enough of this paper!
Get your creative juices flowing and see what you can come up with! Have fun and don’t forget to link back to the SBS18 Challenge site so everyone can have a look at your fabulous creations.
So glad that you took a moment to stop by!
So pretty, love it.
