Carte Postale

Thank goodness for challenges! I was at a complete creative stand still at one point tonight, and I was getting really worried.  Nothing was sparking my creativity, and usually all it takes is a pretty sheet of paper! I was getting frustrated!!  So, I started going around to the different challenges available out there in the blogosphere and found one that caught my attention!  I am really becoming fond of making ATC’s and this challenge over at Think Monday- Think ATC was perfect.  The challenge is to use handwriting somewhere on the ATC, not necessarily our own.   Yeah!  I started getting an image in my head and this is what I came up with.

I have loved this Stampin’ Up! set Carte Postale since I first layed eyes on it!  I thought it would be just right for what I wanted here.  I embossed the corner using my cuttlebug and floral corners folder.  The 5c stamp is from another set by Stampin’ Up! called Take Three.  I used Ranger Distress Ink for the handwritten words in Weathered Wood, and in Broken China for the bird.  Carte Postale and the 5c stamp are inked in Versacolor Bark.
