I am hosting the Crafty Creations Challenge again this week, and the theme is “Holiday Wishes” . I had this card made and ready for my dt card a while ago, and boy was it hard to keep from posting it early! . I have always admired the acetate cards I’ve seen made by other stampers, but I had not tried one for myself until now. I think it is such a unique look for a card, and for Christmas, it just has that extra special feel to it!
It is a standard 4 1/4 by 5 1/2″ size cut from clear cardstock that I purchased from Flourishes. It is perfectly clear, has a very nice weight and thickness to it, and is easy to fold. I scored it first with my Scor Pal to get a nice crisp fold.
The flourish from Inkadinkado is stamped in white Staz-On, on the backside of the face of the card. I then positioned my Peel Off’s outline stickers and adhered them, to the front of the card.
For the inside, I cut a piece of shimmery gold card stock to 5″ by 3 3/4″. I adhered this panel to the inside of the card with red strip tacky tape. I just made sure to keep the tape strips centered when applying them, so that they would not show throught the other side, after my back panel was placed.
For the back panel (to hide the tape) I cut a 3″ x 2″ panel, and adhered it to the middle of the back side of the card. No tape showing, and a perfect place to stamp your name or the stamp company logo etc.
The sentiment from Stampin’ Up! is stamped in gold pigment ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
If you would like to join in the challenge this week for a chance at some blog candy, head on over to Crafty Creations! It does not have to be a card! We want to see any of your hand made crafty items!! Just remember the theme is Holiday Wishes! I hope you will go and have a look at the other design team’s inspiration cards, too!
Thanks for spending some time here today! I always appreciate your company! 😉
Have a creative day!

That is just fantastic! I’ve not had much success with acetate yet but I think I will study yours carefully and try to learn from it!
