We had a whole lot of snow come down today! It didn’t stop all day. I am so over winter already! Bring me Spring anytime, c’mon, I’m so ready for Spring!
Well, since I can’t control the weather, I just stayed in all day, and made cards! Yay. That’s not so bad now is it? Des is between contracts right now, so that means he’s home for a nice long stretch and that means I have more play time! And more sleep in time too. Can you see me smilin’?? O.k I didn’t goof off all day MOM!! I did still have to do some laundry, help with homework, cook supper, clean up and put the boys to bed. 🙂
I did have time to make some more valentines for Cards 4 Kids. If you want to help out with this wonderful project, by making a card or two for sick children in Michigan Children’s hospital, just go to Rubber Maid’s blog and leave Pat a comment saying so! Her goal is to have 1000 cards made in time for Valentines Day.
I used Kraft cardstock for the base, and embossed it using my tiny mosaics cuttlebug folder. The image is a new stamp from Stampin’ Up! coming out in their new Spring/ Summer catalogue. Isn’t it cute? I colored it using my prismacolor pencils and baby oil to blend. I added a little bit of crystal effects to the honey drips for a sticky, wet look. You can see it better on the card in the background. The hearts are die cut from fun foam using the cuttlebug as well. I love cutting fun foam this way! You can get it at the dollar store in a ton of colors too, usually in a large pack for a dollar. Can’t beat that.
Stamps: Just Buzzin’ By (Stampin’ Up!)
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Chocolate chip prints pack, chocolate chip cardstock
Ink: Archival jet black
Accessories: cuttlebug, tiny mosaics folder, heart die, fun foam
So, anyone else ready for Spring???
Thanks for stopping by and for all your thoughtful comments, they mean so much to me!
