Well Wishes

Well another weekend has come and gone!  How fast they seem to go, and I find it so hard to get motivated for the weekly routine again.  Hate those mean mondays!!

I am playing catch up with a couple of cards I made this week, have a look, I hope you enjoy them!

I made this one for a friend who got quite sick over the Easter weekend and is still recuperating.  Trees are a sign of life, health, strength and rejuvenation, which is why I’ve used it here.  I like the gentle earthy feel of the card, what do you think?  I stamped the tree from Stampin’ Up!  Forest Friends in wild wasabi ink, cut it out and shadowed it with wild wasabi card stock.

img_8243-faith-is-30The Timeless Tuesday challenge this week at Flourishes is to use paper piercing , so I pulled out this scoll stamp and pierced around it free hand. I also added pierced dots under the sentiment.  This card has a bit of a masculine feel for me, simple but strong at the same time.  Maybe I shouldn’t have left so much white space…I’m not sure.  The qoute is from Flourishes set “Timeless Quotes”.

Monday morning is coming quickly, so that’s it for me tonight folks!  I hope you all have a good start to the week!!

Thanks for visiting! I have always needed to express my creativity, and I am the happiest when I do so. My blog is a way to challenge myself creatively, keep me motivated and inspired, to explore new ideas, and to share them with others! I feel the need to express myself in new ways...I hope you'll join me!

  1. Gorgeous cards Deena! Love the way you cut out that tree & what a great way to look at trees, symbolically. Hope your friend is well soon. I love your technique of paper piecing around the stamping! :O)

  2. What beautiful cards! I like them both very much. I hope your friend is well on their way to recovery by now. I don’t think there is too much white space on the second card. I actually like the look very much.

  3. Deena this is very pretty!!!
Hope you are well… I am heading to Montreal soon and can hardly wait… I am visiting a good friend. Should be fun!!

  4. Hi Deena, I still don’t know anybody who loves Mondays!
Your cards are beautiful, as always!
I’m still recovering, my wrist is getting better and better, but I have to be careful!
    Anyway, have a lovely Monday!
    Hugs, Alina
