Dawn Lusk (Dawn… a New Day). is the Featured Stamper on SCS this week!! I love her style and had to play, so I cased this beatiful card here: Birthday Wishes. I changed the colors and the papers, used a different floral stamp and embossed it in white instead of stamping in black. I also used a wide ribbon and added a white mat layer to set off the yellow. I am really pleased with how this card turned out and I will be making a few in different colors for sure! Papers: Stampin’ UP! Delicate Dots dp, whisper white cs, Bazzill yellow cs Stamps: Flourishes Spring Ephemerals Ink: Versamark Accessories: So saffron ribbon (Stampin’ Up! ) white embossing powder Thanks for stopping by today!!

The kids played, while we lounged around the deck sipping margaritas and daquiris. We coooked up the steaks and grilled garlic potatoes, and our friends brought a spinach, apple and roasted pecan salad, and a yummy peach crisp!! Mmmm, we had a wonderful day and after the kids were in bed we had a good game of Settlers of Catan. It was a real summer fun kind of day! I’m already looking forward to the next time!! I made this clean and simple (CAS) card, inspired by Kim Poloson’s Pear poster for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. Quick and easy! I think the elegant style of the Flourishes stamps can really pull a CAS card together. Stamps: Flourishes DIY Topiaries, Bonnidee french sentiment Paper: Bazzill Basics Apple crush, whisper white Ink: Wild Wasabi SU! ink, Weathered Wood Tim Hotz distress ink Accessories: Button, Certainly Celery ribbon Don’t forget to comment on my blog candy post! Here is a sneak peak at what I’m adding to it tomorrow!! Hope you like it… Have a creative day!
Crafty Creations Challenge #20 asks: how does your garden grow? So this week’s challenge can include anything from your garden; flowers, tools, plants, a scene or anything garden like! I kept mine simple this week, and yep, it’s another birthday card! I love Upsy Daisy from Stampin’ Up! and I thought it appropraite to represent my garden, since it is most likely what you might find growing there if I had one!! I love long stemmed wild flowers, very natural, and growing with abandon, that’s how I picture it, with lots of birds flying in and out of the vined gates! The sentiment meaning Happy Birthday in french, is from Bonnidee stamps here in Montreal. Come join us at CCC for the challenge! We’d love to see how your garden grows! I’ll be adding to my candy soon, so keep on checking back! I’ve already added once to it, so it is growing…you still have time to comment, it runs until June 27th ! For all the details take a look at this POST.
