A Flourishes Celebration- Maki’s Favourites Challenge

It is Celebration Time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges!    The week of February 2-8, 2010 marks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday’s ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to join in their celebrations by making sample cards for the Design Team challenges!!! I hope you enjoy them and they  inspire you to join in the fun too!!  There are six different challenges being posted and I have samples for three, so hold on to your crafting chair, you’re in for a treat!! There will be lots of amazing prizes at the Flourishes blog!

Please scroll down to see my first two challenge samples: Cindy’s Sketch and Silke’s Pink challenge!

I have my third and final sample challenge card ready….wanna see it?

Here it is… a sample for Maki’s “favorite stamp set” challenge (FTTC52F)! Please check out the Flourishes Anniversary Celebration post to find out how to play along!

I’ve used my Favourite Set from Flourishes: BIRDS IN VINES

I adore this set from Flourishes called Birds in Vines designed by Marcella Howley!  It is simply gorgeous!!  It’s  filled with birds in flight and a small vine (used here) and a beautiful large vine to use with the many different birds.  It was one of the first sets I owned from Flourishes, so it has a special place in my stamping heart!

I embossed the vine and birds in Super Fine Detail embossing powder in black.  The framing mats were cut using the Cricut with A Child’s Year cartridge (Toys1 card frame). The background is embossed with the Floral Screen embossing folder through the cuttlebug.

Stamps: Birds in Vines Flourishes
Papers: Bazzil red, SU! basic black, Flourishes classic white
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Super Fine black embossing powder (Ranger), black velvet ribbon,  Pearls, Floral screen embossing folder, Cricut Expression, A Child’s Year cartridge

Be sure to stop by Flourishes to see all 6 challenges if you haven’t already!!

Have a creative day and have fun stamping!

😀 This was the set I chose too. It’s funny, I bought it for the smaller image you’ve used, but I ended up using the other ones way more. So I always like seeing ideas for using the small one – love the drama of this.
