Summer’s just about here!

My boys have 1 1/2 days left of school!! I’ve definitely got some mixed feelings about this.  On the one hand I am looking forward to the hot summer days and spending time with them in the pool and having time to play with them, carefree with  NO HOMEWORK and NOT having to make any more packed lunches! But on the other hand, I know that it also means hearing “I’m bored” every time they stop moving for half a second, and breaking up squabbles between brothers, and having many neighborhood kids running around my house at all hours of the day!  No more peaceful mornings for me!!

Oh well, I am quite certain the happy moments will outweigh the others!  I’m ready! Bring it on!!

I’ve made another thank you card for one of their teachers (I need 4 ) and I’ve used the sketch from Monday’s CAS challenge on SCS. Let me know what you think!

I stamped, cut out and paper pieced the books using Unity Stamps Hodgepodge of  Happiness. The notepaper is a Prima Marketing stamp with a “merci” sentiment stamped on it from Stampin Up!

I embossed the background with my new Tim Holtz Alterations fade folder that I bought last week when shopping with Giggles, my Nutty Cardmaker friend. (marilynprestonn).   She had a knack of calling me over to see something that she was oohing and awwing over, and then she would leave me there defenseless!! 🙂 I was weak.

Thanks for taking time today to stop by!!  Have a creative day!!

  1. Have fun with them Deena!! Every summer until my boys were almost teenagers we spent fishing at the local Conservation area. EVERY morning from 8 am until about 1 pm and then back to the house for a swim. We loved it !!

  2. just enjoy it all Deena…..these precious years will be gone in a flash! Your card is soooo pretty! bx
