A Day at the Beach

Summer lovin’, had me a blast! Summer lovin’ happened so fast!! O.k I can’t get this song outta my head now! Yes, the summer is going by quickly and in two and a half weeks we will be going camping with the boys.   They are so excited, looking forward to long days at the beach, and time spent fishing!  I was talking about getting a license for my son to fish, and he asked me “Mom, for my license will I have to pass a test, or just pay the government?” I laughed and told him we’d have to pay. He was disappointed, saying  ” Aww, but I wanted to show them how good I can fish!”  🙂 This week’s Crafty Creations Challenge is all about Summer Lovin’ and anything to do with the beach!  Have a  look at this week’s sponsor and all the fun DT creations HERE. I cut the shells and the sandcastle using the“Stretch your Imagination” cartridge in my Cricut Expression.  Using creamy caramel ink, I sponged the kraft card base …

Sweeter than Ice Cream

Crafty Creations Challenge is looking for “happy or sweet” creations!  Jaime has set the challenge sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week, and  Regina Easter generously gave the DT some fabulous templates to play with.  I have used her ice cream cone template for my project card today. I used Kraft card stock and Stampin’ Up! dp to create the cone. The cone is embossed with the tiny mosaic cuttlebug folder to look like a waffle cone.  The sentiment is cut using A Child’s Year cartridge in the Cricut Expression, and glittered with dazzling diamonds SU! glitter. WE ARE ALSO HAVING A DT CALL FOR CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGES, SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE STOP BY THE SITE FOR DETAILS.

Tulip Trevor

I forgot to upload this sweet C.S designs card and thought I’d share it tonight!  It is a Featured Stamper CASE of Stephanie’s card. I used a C.C Designs image and added a die cut from my Walk In my Garden Cricut cartridge. The potted blooms and the background shaped panel are cut with the Cricut. “Tulip Trevor” by C.C designs is hand cut and colored with copics.  I also pierced the corners and the flower pot.  The dp is Basic Grey Marrakech. I will be posting a fantabulous GIVEAWAY by the end of the week, so please check back! Thanks so much for stopping by !! You know I love your company!! 😉

Primarily Masculine Birthday

This was made for my own challenge to make a birthday card using light bright primary colors.  I had a hunch that these colors would work well for  a more masculine birthday card.  After all, most men are just boys in man sized bodies! 😉  They are kids at heart! I used this multi stripe dp from Cosmo Cricket called GET HAPPY. I stamped the VOILA! chef from SU!, colored his cuffs, pants and necktie in bright colors, and popped up his chef’s hat on dimensional foam dots.   The sentiment says “Happy Birthday” in french.  I added two black brads and voila!  What do you think?  Does it work for a masculine birthday? Show me how you use your primary colors on a birthday card and leave me a link in this CHALLENGE POST ! Have a creative day everyone! Deena

A Shopping Inspiration Challenge!

A shopping inspired challenge!! Not long ago we bought a loft bed very similar to the one below for my 6 year old son.  He loves it! For weeks prior to putting it in for him, he would cry that his single bed wasn’t comfortable and that a “high” bed would be so much better!!   Of course this came about shortly after visiting his cousin who has a bunk bed! 🙂 I was looking for twin beds like this for my older son too.  I wish I had known about CSN Stores when I was shopping for his bedroom furniture, because I would have found exactly what I wanted!  They have so much to choose from and they even ship to Canada! Anyway, I thought it would solve some of our small space issues in his bedroom by giving us some extra floor space.  Of course the first thing he did was bring in more stuff from the play room to fill up his new ‘secret fort’!  HA! So, as I was up late, and …
