Grand babies are Grand!

I made this for a friend (The Nutty Cardmaker) who has recently become a Grandma!  Her step daughter had a baby girl! I stamped the bear and sentiment from a Flourishes set called Baby Love.  I had never used the sentiment and the bear was only inked once before, so I thought it time to show them some love! To make the flower, I stamped the center of a 3/4″ punched circle with a flower from an SU! set (pensee positives).  I covered the back of the circle with sticky tape.  Then, I made the flower by loosely looping and sticking ribbon onto the back of the circle to form a five petal flower.   You could alternatively add a button to the flower center, like I did on another one of these cards. Challenges: WT316 on SCS Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #111 (use a previously unused stamp from a purchased set…never used the sentiment) Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day! Deena

Spring Easter Basket

Today’s color challenge at Splitcoastamper’s was one of my favourites!  We had to use two shades of blue and a light celery green.  Yes, blues and greens are my favourite colors!  I chose to use a lovely Easter basket from Flourishes Signs of Spring.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up! (All Holidays).   I received a package in the mail today containing this lovely crinkled seam binding.  I was so happy it arrived in time for this challenge!  I bought it on ETSY from Pink Planet Craft . Thanks so much for stopping by and have a creative day! Deena

Spring Tags

This little bird and sentiment are Flourishes stamps, stamped in vintage photo ink on soft blue card stock.  The edges are sponged as well for a vintage inspired look.  They are strung with paper cord in a dark chocolate. The Easter tags below are stamped  with Stampin’ Up! stamps on vanilla cardstock with rich cocoa ink and sponged around the edges with Ranger Distress broken china ink. The sun is out but it’s still quite cold here in Montreal…I’m so looking forward to warmer Spring days! Thanks so much for stopping by!  You know I enjoy your company! 😉 Deena

Coneflower Thank You

A simple CAS card…looking forward to sweet Spring days! I’ve used Flourishes stamps and Ranger Distress ink in Broken China on white cardstock.  The script is stamped off once for a faded background for the coneflower. Have a creative day! Deena

In Stitches!

Hello! The  Crafty Creations challenge this week is IN STITCHES!  We could choose to make our creations funny (as in, he had me in stitches, laughing! ) or we could sew on our cards.  Sadly, I don’t think I’m very good with either choice.  I decided to practice a few stitches with my mini sewing machine.   Four attempts later….here is my card! I have one short line of stitches down the side in white thread so it’s a little hard to see.  This was the straightest line of stitching I managed to get after 4 attempts.  I was trying to do more than just a single straight line…but it just wasn’t happening! I do think this little House Mouse stamp is adorable though!  I fluffed up the cotton ball that he is curled up on using some white flower soft.  He is colored with beige and pink Copic markers.  Wouldn’t this be cute for welcoming a new baby? Join us for the STITCHES challenge at Crafty Creations!  I’m sure you can outstitch me!! 🙂 Thanks …

Cherish Blue Bird Tags

I’m making some new tags, and thought these would be lovely for a wedding wish tree or as a gift tag for a bridal shower or wedding gift.  The bird is a Unity Stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin’ Up!   Each tag is tied with 8 inches of baby blue paper cord  from fastrunningfox.  They measure 1 3/4″  x  2 3/4″. Find these and more in my SHOP !

Mother’s Day

It’s time for this week’s Crafty Creations Challenge and we are to make Mother’s Day cards!  Getting organized ahead of time is always a good thing isn’t it? Our sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique!  I am using one of their lovely images for my card today, and I’ve colored it with Copics.  I used a base of gray cardstock and light yellow textured cardstock. The sentiment is French for “Happy Mother’s day”.  I am making a few French sentiment cards for sale in my my Etsy shop. Thanks for stopping by!  Have a creative day! Deena

Stationery Note Sets

I made these stationery flats and thought I’d enter them into the SCS Free4All Friday challenge and Flourishes Cut above the Rest challenge.  They’re clean and simple , but  elegant too, I think. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the decorative top edge backed by the olive and Night of Navy cardstock bases.  The navy stationery is stamped with a Flourishes Tag Lines stamp.  The  notes above have a stamped quote  from Stampin’ Up.

Baby Boy

Jeanet has set the Crafty Creations challenge this week to a baby blue theme!  Perfect for me as I was just asked t make  a baby boy card. Timing is everything isn’t it?! We are also welcoming two new designers to our team!!  If you have a moment to welcome PEGGY and DONNA at Crafty Creations, please do! Thanks for stopping by, you know I enjoy your company!! Deena
