Vintage Botanical

I love it when I can just make a card for no other reason than the passion I feel for creating something!

I have been swooning over some of the vintage images at The Graphics Fairy lately, and I’ve downloaded quite a few, so, many thanks to Karen from Graphics Fairy!

My card today is a blend of BoBunny gabrielle collection dp, and vintage paper printed on white cardstock  that I folded to make my background  base card. The main image of the apple blossom c. 1890 on a piece of torn scrap paper was printed, cut out and distressed around the edges.  The torn paper is from an old Geography book that had a boys’ name and the year 1891 written in it!  Isn’t that cool?  You can see the date in the top right.

I used a Flourishes stamp for my sentiment and added a short piece of crinkled seam binding and a single aqua pearl for embellishment.

I was inspired by the SCS sketch today and that got it all started for me!

Challenges that inspired me:

SIMON SAYS STAMP~ newspaper real or dp

MAKE MY MONDAY~ Vintage torn or crumpled
