Thankful for the Falling Leaves

The days are getting shorter,  and the nights are getting colder,  Fall is definitely here!  The leaves seemed to have changed overnight! The colors are beautiful…orange, yellow,  red and brown and even gold!  I love the sound of the crunch underfoot and it will soon be time to get to raking.  The boys helped last year but they spent a lot of time piling the leaves in heaps so they could fall into them and POOF! all our hard work is undone! lol  But it’s SO MUCH FUN!!

I sketched this image yesterday and I’m so pleased with how it turned out!   I think it captures the spirit of Fall for me.    I colored the image with copics in many shades of beige and brown and green  and added a touch of soft pale pink and grey to the child’s  jacket.  Now, if you know me, you know that my images are inspired by every day life and my own children, who happen to be both boys! But, I wanted to make this card with a little girl, hence the pink jacket.  Yes, my little boy has curls like this, but more blond!

I hope you like the card and my new image!  It will be available at A Creative Need.Etsy.

The Crafty Creations Challenge is all about LEAVES, so bring your Fall leaves cards/projects on over to link up there, for a chance to win some lovely Whiff of Joy stamps!!
