CAS Orchids

Hi all!  I’ve made a quick CAS card today.  We are having our main living areas of our home painted this week, so  we had a lot of prepping to do on all the walls, and moving furniture out of the rooms etc.!   Phew, it is nice to take a break.  I am so excited though about getting this done, as the walls really need it!   I’ve picked some warm colors too instead of the boring old white! So here’s my clean and simple card for today using the SCS CAS challenge colors today; pink, celery and white.  I colored up my A Creative Need ‘Orchids’ with copics. Well, I guess this means I should get back to plastering some walls…lol   I will let you know how it turns out!  🙂 Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!  If you don’t know about my VALENTINE CARD CHALLENGE check it out HERE.  Deena

Admit One Love Bird

I thought I’d share a card  today that was inspired by several fun challenges! The Crafty Creations Challenge theme is Valentines/hearts so I thought it was perfect to use my new  images for Valentines: ‘Love Birds’ and ‘Valentine Ticket’. Moxie Fab world’s Trigger Tuesday “winter blossoms” was what sparked the whole idea hence the blossom framing around the blooming hearts and love birds. CR84FN’s Color Challenge is yellow, soft pink and a neutral and it was love at first sight!!  These colors are gorgeous together and I just had to use them! Mojo Monday’s fabulous SKETCH brought it all together! The VALENTINE TICKET image is a FREEBIE!  You can DOWNLOAD it HERE. Something New

Did any of you get some new crafting goodies to play with over Christmas?  Did you pick up some new papers or stamps at that fabulous boxing day sale?!  Well, Crafty Creations Challenges wants to make sure you use all those shiny new things! The challenge this week is SOMETHING NEW!  Use a NEW tool, stamp, embellishment, paper, or even a new (to you) technique!  The SPONSOR this week is      SEW MANY CARDS I received some new Cricut cartridges for Christmas! Yay!  I’ve used  frame 2 from my Fancy Frames cartridge cut at  3 1/2″ .  I cut it from a darker shade of sage green and then cut the Frame 2 layer in a paler sage.   The image is printed and colored in copics on cream cardstock. I punched 3 small hearts from the pale sage to add around the frame edge and then added two little heart buttons tied with twine for a sweet finishing embellishment. Digital Image Sale

Happy Friday!! Sadly, my 10 yr old has a stomach flu…so now I fully expect it to make its way around to all of us! Yuck.   He is laying on the couch watching a marathon of Wizards of Waverly Place, and he just attempted to eat a quarter of a sandwich, which is the first thing he’s eaten today.  Hopefully he can keep this down and he will be on the mend. Anyway,  on to better things…I am so happy to get back in my crafting room after 2 weeks of Christmas and New Years visiting and entertaining.  I am aching to get back to crafting!! I had one day this week when I had some time to myself to draw and I made full use of my time!  I drew a few new images and I’m in various stages of digitizing them.  I can’t wait to show you, so I thought I would give you a sneak peek of  a couple of  them. I’m also having a SALE on  CHRISTMAS DIGIS … They …

Turn up the Heat!

Today was ccccold here in Montreal!!!  So it is very fitting that  we are turning up the heat at Crafty Creations this week, with a challenge to HEAT EMBOSS your creations. Our sponsor is PATTIE G and we were so happy to play with her images!  I’ve used Butterfly 1 from Patties Creations shop. I used FLORAL BACKGROUNDER from Cornish Heritage Farms inked with Versamark and then sprinkled with polysparkle embossing powder (ranger).  My heat tool barely made it.  I realized that something was broken inside and rattling!  There was a melting plastic smell too, so I think I had better buy a new one before I heat emboss again!   I love the look of the background and tried my best to capture the sparkle and shine of it in the photo, but truly it is prettier in real life!  The butterfly is colored with copics and I’ve added dazzling diamonds glitter to the wings. I hope you will join us at Crafty Creations  for the  HEAT EMBOSSING CHALLENGE!   Don’t be left out in …
