Something New

Did any of you get some new crafting goodies to play with over Christmas?  Did you pick up some new papers or stamps at that fabulous boxing day sale?!  Well, Crafty Creations Challenges wants to make sure you use all those shiny new things! The challenge this week is SOMETHING NEW!  Use a NEW tool, stamp, embellishment, paper, or even a new (to you) technique!  The SPONSOR this week is      SEW MANY CARDS I received some new Cricut cartridges for Christmas! Yay!  I’ve used  frame 2 from my Fancy Frames cartridge cut at  3 1/2″ .  I cut it from a darker shade of sage green and then cut the Frame 2 layer in a paler sage.   The image is printed and colored in copics on cream cardstock. Digital Image Sale

Happy Friday!! Sadly, my 10 yr old has a stomach flu…so now I fully expect it to make its way around to all of us! Yuck.   He is laying on the couch watching a marathon of Wizards of Waverly Place, and he just attempted to eat a quarter of a sandwich, which is the first thing he’s eaten today.  Hopefully he can keep this down and he will be on the mend. I had one day this week when I had some time to myself to draw and I made full use of my time!  I drew a few new images and I’m in various stages of digitizing them.  I can’t wait to show you, so I thought I would give you a sneak peek of  a couple of  them. I’m also having a SALE on  CHRISTMAS DIGIS … They …

Turn up the Heat!

Today was ccccold here in Montreal!!!  So it is very fitting that  we are turning up the heat at Crafty Creations this week, with a challenge to HEAT EMBOSS your creations. Our sponsor is PATTIE G and we were so happy to play with her images!  I’ve used Butterfly 1 from Patties Creations shop. I used FLORAL BACKGROUNDER from Cornish Heritage Farms inked with Versamark and then sprinkled with polysparkle embossing powder (ranger).  My heat tool barely made it.  I realized that something was broken inside and rattling!  There was a melting plastic smell too, so I think I had better buy a new one before I heat emboss again!   I love the look of the background and tried my best to capture the sparkle and shine of it in the photo, but truly it is prettier in real life!  The butterfly is colored with copics and I’ve added dazzling diamonds glitter to the wings. I hope you will join us at Crafty Creations  for the  HEAT EMBOSSING CHALLENGE!   Don’t be left out in …
