I love the CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGE this week! The theme is VINTAGE FASHION and DIGI DOODLE SHOP is our sponsor! It’s not my week to host but I definitely wanted to play along. So I made a sample for the fun of it! I had this lovely ‘Tailor made’ cosmo cricket dp and fabric I’ve been wanting to use, and it just seemed perfect for this challenge. I sponged the edges of the papers and the Digi Doodle shop image with old paper and dried marigold Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Then I added the frayed fabric square and some SU! buttons that I’ve had for far too long. I use vanilla cardstock for the base and the finished card is 5 1/4″ square. Have a great day everyone! My 7 yr old son asked me to make origami birds with him last night. He had taken a book out of the library at school with the steps to make it and he was so eager to do so! So we set out to folding and 23 folding steps and 30 minutes later, we had these sweet origami birds made! RONIN”S BIRD I am entering this bird in the Crafty Creations Challenge as he is so proud of it! As am I, of him! He did each step on his own; as he watched me try a fold, he would do the same on his. I had to read the steps since they were in french. He is a crafty little guy!! Here’s mine and here they are ‘flying’!! Ronin would love to hear what you think of these fancy fold origami birds! Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day! Deena

This love is silent.” ~ T.S Eliot
I just had to make a post to share these adorable stuffed bunnies from my friend and ETSY ARTIST KAROKOKO ! This is just so adorable, don’t you agree?!! Karoline uses a mix of new and repurposed fabrics to make her sweet stuffies. She makes fabric dolls and superhero softies too! My little boy loves his! It’s a SWIRLY WHIRLY CHALLENGE at Crafty Creations this week! My talented teammate Claire, is sponsoring the challenge this week! You really should take a look at here fun images HERE and HERE if you are not already familiar with them. Claire gave us images from her new SWIRLY SET and I used her swirly owl image for my card today. I was inspired by the CardPatterns 151 sketch, and I also used the colors for this week’s My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette #46! I used a clean white background to make the vibrant colors pop, and added D’vine Swirls embossing to the image panel for some extra swirls. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Copics. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you’ll join us at Crafty Creations for this week’s challenge! Deena
