Hello!
This month is off to a busy start for me, what with the boys back at school, and all the running around and organizing that entails. Then, there’s the fact that I have not just ONE, but TWO weddings to attend in September! Starting with my niece’s wedding this weekend, and ending with my Mother’s wedding on September 28th! Needless to say, I had to go dress shopping this past weekend and after several frustrating hours, I finally found one I liked and fit!! Phew. Dress shopping is not as much fun as it used to be when I was 20 something… I find it so exhausting now. Every time I try something new on, and look in that all too narrow mirror in the changing room, I am reminded that I really should start exercising!! Not fun. I hate exercising even more than shopping. Anyways, I digress…
What I really want to tell you is that I had the honor of making my Mother’s wedding invitations! She told me exactly what she wanted, and asked me to draw her an image of a wedding ring floral bouquet for the front. It is a generational tradition for the women in our family to carry the same ring re adorned with our choice of flowers, on our wedding day. My Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Aunt, Mother, myself and my sister have all carried the same ring as part of our wedding bouquet. Now my Mother will be carrying it a second time as she gets remarried, after being a widow for 22 years. I am thrilled for her, as she is so happy and was so lonely for such a long time! Len, her betrothed, is a wonderful , kind hearted man whom I know loves her dearly. They are truly the lucky ones to find love and companionship a second time around!!
Here is the invitation using my new image WEDDING RING BOUQUET .
The second image released this month is in keeping with our wedding theme…HEARTS AND FLOWERS
Maria created this beautiful card with it…
And our third image is a simple CROSS WITH INTERTWINED HEARTS (I used this on the inside of the invites)
and Lisa made this gorgeous card!
Maria made this lovely bottle topper too!
Thanks so much Gail! It was a very special day, and my Mom could not be happier! She was a radiant bride!

Congratulations to your mom and new hubby to be – that is just grand – my mom never remarried and she was a very young widow too – I had hoped someday she would have found another husband – you are very blessed and so is your mom
