Have any of you tried Corel Painter? I am playing with digital water coloring in the 30 day trial version of Corel Painter X3 right now and I have to say that I love the ‘real watercolor’ brushes! I was inspired to play in this week’s SCS IC438 so I painted these flowers to get a feel for the different brushes and I’m happy with the results.
What do you think? I am really a beginner of course so don’t judge to harshly! 🙂 I have a lot to learn, but I still think it’s pretty! Traditionally, I’ve painted with acrylics, but I just love the look of water colors and painting and blending colors is so soothing to me, so I thought this was a great time to practice. I used my new digital stamp illustration as a starting point for the painting and this is what I ended up with. Now, if only I could afford to buy the software!
Here’s the Mother’s Day CAS card I made with it too…
and finally, here is my Watercolor Flowers original digital illustration…
Useful information. Lucky me I discovered your web
site unintentionally, and I’m surprised why this coincidence
didn’t happened in advance! I bookmarked it.

Very beautiful Deena… It’s amazing what digital softwares are producing these days… Still, they cannot bit the feel of a brush in your hand… :-)… I have no doubt you would love playing with real watercolours Deena… I think you will be very good at it… (I love your digi images)..xx
