New In Color blitz!

Hey everyone!!   Hope you all had a great weekend!  Here we are back to our routines and almost Tuesday!  We had a lovely weekend.  We took the boys to see the new Ice Age movie  and  we had dinner with friends on Saturday, and then a bbq with family on Sunday.  Busy but fun!! I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge yesterday.  I turned the sketch, changed the colors and dp, and used a different, yet similar stamp.    I am enjoying these bright yummy new In Colors from Stampin’ UP!  How about you?  Sometimes I find I need time to let the colors sort of grow on me, but this time I really like them!  I might get a little sick of them after a while, since I usually like softer colors, but, for now I’m having fun! I played with my copics again with this image.   I don’t have any brown so I used Memento rich cocoa for her hair.  I love that my old satin purely pomegranate ribbon matches so well …

Self Portrait: Early Morning

So what do you think of my self portrait??  I think it’s a fairly accurate likeness!  I am definitely not someone to talk to in the morning!  At least not before my first cup of coffee.  🙂 The colour combo challenge on SCS was Chocolate Chip, Groovy Guava, and Barely Banana.  I was intrigued by these colors that I would not have necessarily thought of putting together, but now I think work brilliantly well! I don’t own this particular Bella stamp ( although I should) but Christy S. was very sweet to send me a few stamped images to play with, including this one!   So thanks again Christy! I coloured Bella with the colours of the day and used Afternoon Tea SU! paper for the background.   I cuttlebugged the Chocolate Chip panel behind Bella in Swiss dots. Stamps: Grumpabella Ink: Barely Banana, Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip Papers: Afternoon tea SU! Groovy Gauva, Choc. Chip, white, Accessories: Cuttlebug, Swiss dots folder, Choc. Chip SU! polytwill ribbon, mini floral brads So, are you going to try …

Here it is as Promised! Creative Candy!

Remember to leave a comment on the “Time To Celebrate!” post to be entered in this giveaway! Now, here’s a card I made for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. I was so excited to find out who it was because I happen to love this stamper’s cards and I think she is so sweet too! Have a look HERE at Kharmagirl’s gallery on SCS. You are sure to be inspired! Kharmagirl’s super cute card that I cased is Here. I changed the layout just a bit, putting the sentiment on the bottom left instead of ribbon. I also left off the brads, changed the colors a bit and used a Bella stamp instead of a Hanna stamp. I sponged the edges of the vanilla cream cs with Creamy Caramel. I Painted the cupcake and Bella with SU inks and a blender pen. I added glitter with my Sakura stardust pen, and gel glitter writers, and the paper was already glittered. I glittered it up for No Time To Stamp?, Sharon Johnson’s blog challenge! Card …
