A Little Wedding Cheer

I’ve used my WEDDING BUBBLY digital image to create this sparky gold wedding card for my niece.  She had a non traditional wedding in early September and it was a blast! I danced my feet off; SO MUCH FUN!!   This image is in my FREEBIE section here on my blog for a little while longer, so grab it while you can!   It’s a fun  image that is pre-colored in gold and would work wonderfully for New Year’s cards, anniversaries or any romantic celebration!  And remember, I love to see what you create, so please do shout it out and let me oooh and ahhh over your creations!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by; you know I  love it when you do 😉  Deena

A Little Inspiration and New Release Images

Hello! This month is off to a busy start  for me, what with the boys back at school, and all the running around and organizing that entails. Then, there’s the fact that I have not just ONE, but TWO weddings to attend in September!  Starting with my niece’s wedding this weekend, and ending with my Mother’s wedding on September 28th!  Needless to say, I had to go dress shopping this past weekend and after several frustrating hours, I finally found one I liked and fit!! Phew. Dress shopping is not as much fun as it used to be when I was 20 something… I find it so exhausting now.  Every time I try something new on, and look in that all too narrow mirror in the changing room, I am reminded that I really should start exercising!!  Not fun.  I hate exercising even more than shopping.  Anyways, I digress… What I really want to tell you is that I had the honor of making my Mother’s wedding invitations!  She told me exactly what she wanted, …

Weddings and Anniversaries

Wow, I can’t believe a whole week has passed since I posted last!  I have been low on mojo lately…maybe I’m just enjoying the lazy days of summer.  I hope to find my groove again though, as I am feeling really out of touch with my crafty online friends!  I hope to get around to visiting your blogs soon too! Last week I finished up 75 of these wedding invitations and RSVP cards for my niece’s wedding in October.  She has mailed them out and is anxiously awaiting the return of the RSVPs.   I was so happy to have the opportunity to make these for her and her fiancé!  My niece is crazy about the color pink and she was very decisive about having pink and black invitations.  It is her overall color theme for the wedding too.  I have been seeing this modern, trendy color scheme at other weddings lately too!  I had complete creative license with the rest though and gave her a few options to choose from.   She chose to keep …

A New Year’s Eve Wedding

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones, family and friends! We had a really fun family Christmas Eve and day at home, then on to my sister’s and then my mom’s house for a few days after Christmas.   I even got to see my big brother and his family at my mom’s, as they drove in from Stratford Ontario, and we all had a great visit!  The boys had a great time, especially with their cousins.  It’s really fun to see everyone together,  and having fun.  I only wish we could do it more often! I am so looking forward to tomorrow evening!  It will be the first New Year’s Eve, in quite a while, that we will really  celebrate in style!   Our friends are getting married!!  What a party it will be!   We are staying over at the hotel after the reception, because it will be very late and next to impossible to get a taxi home.  So we are really making a night of it!  The boys will …

Feature Presentation

I cased this week’s Featured Stamper, Kay (SpeedyStamper) on SCS.  HERE is her lovely card, if you would like to take a peek. This is what I came up with… The changes I made: I added a layer, changed the stamp, embossed the background, left off the sentiment, and changed the ribbon from pink to sheer black. I love this embossing folder, and I really love how it looks on this pearly white Bazzill Oyster paper!  I was asked to make an engagement card for someone, so I thought this would work out nicely.  I used  a Verve heart stamped in black and colored in with pink.  I like using black for a touch of elegance.  What do you think? Stamps: Verve Paper: Bazzill Oyster, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, Ink: Archival Ink Jet Black Accessories: Sheer Black ribbon, scallop punch, cuttlebug, floral fantasy folder, MS pink marker Techniques: dry embossing Thanks for stopping in! It means a lot to me that you do!  Have a great day!

Celebrations!

Two cards today for two wonderful occassions…birthdays, and weddings! The top card, is a birthday card for a little girl, and fits in with the challenge theme this week over on Stamp Something. The black and white cherish card is for Susie, who is getting married tomorrow.   She has asked her blog readers to see what we could come up with in black and white.  Susie made her wedding announcements in b&w and they are gorgeous! Congratulations Susie! Have a creative day!  See you tomorrow!

Wedding Blues

My nephew is getting married in less than 2 weeks in B.C, so I needed another wedding card.  I think blue is  lovely on a wedding card, don’t you? I love the look of this Featured Stamper’s card.  If you haven’t played along in a Featured Stamper challenge on SCS, you really should give it a try! It is a wonderful way to explore new styles and you have free license to CASE a card you like! Giving credit where credit is due of course! 🙂 This week’s stamper gallery is denidill; another wonderful gallery that I was happy to be introduced to! It’s amazing how big SCS really is, and I only realize it when I find a new gallery that I had no clue existed and feel that I should have, considering how great it is! I love how this sketch uses two different cuttlebug folders to emboss the top and bottom! The Floral Fantasy folder has hearts in it, can you see them? So I thought it would be perfect for the …
