Cricut Baby Christening Card

I have written a new cricut project tutorial for a Baby Christening card framed with soft ribbon.  Of course the framing technique could be used for many different card occasions, not just for baby’s christening.  Just change up the colors and the image!  You can see the full tutorial with step by step photos at CUSTOM CROPS.  They have fabulous projects there and always FREE for you!  I always appreciate your comments and questions if you have any!  Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the Custom Crops tutorial!  Deena Related articles Published! A Look Back (Tutorials)

I thought it would be fun to have a look back at some of my favourite projects and tutorials that I’ve enjoyed making! CLICK THE LINKS for details on any of these projects. This sympathy card samples two techniques:  Cutting FABRIC FLOWERS using the cuttlebug  and it effectively shows off the BLACK MAGIC TECHNIQUE too.   I explored the versatility of the cuttlebug and borderabilities to cut and emboss this Christmas card.   I had so much fun coming up with this mini backpack scrapbook tutoria lto share with my friends at Scrapbook Crazy!   I first had the idea for these clear acetate bonbon boxes on SCS, but gave them a twist of my own.  They make great Valentine or Easter treats and can be embellished for any holiday!  The full tutorial for these can be seen HERE.   I’m super proud of my Flat Fold Gift Boxes! I love the simple design, and they fold down flat to store or ship easily! Love that! I hope you enjoyed having a look back at …

A Cricut Easter Project and a Card

Hi again!  I’m so excited!! I have two new projects up on Custom Crops I want to tell you about.  The first is a Mini Bunny Basket and the second a Spring/Easter card. Both are made using the Cricut and the mini basket only uses one cartridge (Easter 2010).  If you would like all the details and the simple tutorials for either one just click on their links.  I hope you like them!  I’d so appreciate your comments on Custom Crops if you have a moment to log in!   Check out the other wonderful new tutorials/projects while you’re there by Susan and Megan from Above Rubies Studios!  Yes, I’m in great company over there!!

Home Decor Desktop Calendar

Flourishes has lovely digital calendar pages.  Seeing as it was the end of January and I needed a calendar for my craft room, I decided to download them to make a desktop calendar project.  I decorated  this quite quickly and simply with my new Cricut Home Décor cartridge.  But you don’t need a Cricut to make the calendar!  It’s an easel style base so it can be easily opened and closed; I can leave it standing on my desk or pop it in my purse!  It’s compact at 41/4 x 41/4!  If you would like to make one too, I ‘ve written a full picture tutorial you can see HERE at CUSTOM CROPS.  I hope you enjoy it! As always, if you have any questions or comments I am happy to hear them!  Thanks for stopping by! Tonight at midnight I will post the first of three challenge sample cards for Flourishes!! Yippeee!!! They are having a celebration for their 1 year anniversary of Timeless Tuesday Challenges and invited me to make some samples for …

Sweet Baby Bear

Here’s a baby card I designed for Custom Crops. I wanted it to look like a baby’s bed with baby bear and his teddy all tucked in for the night. I love white bedding even though I know it’s not practical…a girl can dream! If you would like the full details for this card you can find it all HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a creative day!

Cuttlebug Christmas Tags and Tin

Hello!!  Wow, only 10 days to go ’till Christmas! The Christmas preparations are well under way, most of my cards have been sent out (although I do have a few more to make and send), and I have yet to start my baking!  I am getting into the spirit of the Holidays now, waiting for family to arrive and looking forward to some special time with them. It will be an emotional Christmas for our family this year.  We found out two months ago that my MIL has terminal cancer.  It did come as a complete shock to us all, as nothing was found until she was at stage 4  and nothing can be done medically.  She is 78 years old and has always been a very strong woman both physically and spiritually.  She is a real go getter with more energy than I have by times!!   We had the very difficult task of telling our two boys last night about their Nanny.  Children do surprise us at how they take things.  I find with …
