A Natural Shimmer
I made this last week while stamping with my friend Peggy. We decided to play with glimmer mists. I love the the effects that can be achieved with these! You always get a different look depending on the colors you mix, and you can use just about anything as a mask to create designs on the paper. This time though, instead of masking i used the resist emboss technique to get my pattern on the paper. I stamped the floral sprigs in Versamark on Fabriano watercolor paper, then embossed them with clear embossing powder. Next I sprayed randomly with Tattered Angels Glimmer mists in Daffodil, Cinnamon and Coffee Shop. A quick wipe over the embossed areas, to get them clean and it’s done. In real life, this background shimmers beautifully. It’s hard to capture that on camera. I really like the organic feel of this card, what do you think?
