Five Darlings Birthday Card

I’ve made a birthday card for a 5 yr old for this week’s Crafty Creations Challenge.   It’s a color challenge using the OLYMPIC RING COLORS…blue, black, red, yellow, green! A Day for Daisies is the sponsor this week and I’ve use Five Vintage Darlings for my image.  I’ve colored it digitally with chalk using Corel Painter Essentials, and the card was digitally designed using elements from My Memories Suite Software.  What does that mean? Well, the whole card except the added dew drops is a one layer printed card front.  The banner and the matted image, as well as the stitching are all digitally applied.  The chipboard number is also a digital element.  When I was satisfied with the layout and elements, I print the card front.   I added it to a white card base for a more layered look, added the dew drops and took the photo of the finished card outside.  I love how the sun sparkles off the dew drops! Have a creative day and I hope you’ll join us …

A Charming Idea!

This week’s Crafty Creations challenge is to use a CHARM on your projects.  I’ve glued a little dragonfly charm to mine.  I’m hosting and sponsoring this challenge so read on below to see how you can increase your chances of winning some extra images!  I’ve used my Hanging On panda image for my card sample today and used MMS to create the layout of the card, and to add the digital flowers too.  I tied a big  bow, glued on the dragonfly charm, and colored the image with copics. This week I am sponsoring our CRAFTY CREATIONS challenge with 3 digi IMAGES of the winner’s choice from  A CREATIVE NEED. (5 images if you’ve used one of mine on your winning creation) 30% OFF ALL IMAGES THIS WEEK!! Use code NEWDISCOUNT at checkout. It’s a SPRING CHALLENGE at Crafty Creations Challenges this week, and I’m also entering my card into the Digital Delights EASTER challenge and Crafter’s Cafe Challenge: Spring with pastel colors. I’m excited about sharing another hybrid card with you!  I think I’m getting  better at this! Isn’t Easter Daisy cute?  You can pick her up colored on not, for just $1.00 at Digital Delights on sale! I used MY MEMORIES SUITE software to create the layout. A Photo Inspiration Challenge

Crafty Creations Challenge this week is a PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge that my teammate Bernie suggested!  It’s a lovely festive photo that inspired me to use the colors and celebratory theme in my card. Here’s what I was inspired to make…I also used two types of RIBBON  to qualify for the Crafter’s Cafe Challenge! It runs all month long, so check it out! I used a Unity stamp colored with copics,  a Kaiser craft sentiment and some lovely new Echo Park Springtime paper.  I added the sheer wired ribbon for embellishment. Come join us at Crafty Creations for this week’s challenge! Thanks for stopping by;  it’s great to see you here and I am so happy to be finding some time (and being inspired) to craft!! Hugs, Deena

Giving Thanks

It’s time to give thanks!  It’s American Thanksgiving this weekend, and at Crafty Creations  we are showing our gratitude in many different ways with many different projects! I’ve followed the Stamp with Fun sketch for my card, and I was also inspired by The Shabby Tea Room ‘colors of nature’ photo inspiration challenge.  I loved the colors and I knew I had to use my “Apple Cider” digital image for this thank you card.  It just seemed to fit the occasion! I colored the image with copics in only 4 simple colors!  (E08 for the cinnamon sticks and E11 to lighten them a bit, and for the inside rim of the mug, YG93 for the mug, and R14 with a bit of shading in with E08 again on the apple.) The  background paper and red panel are from Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends and the others are some scraps I had laying on the table.  For a simple embellishment I’ve tied a little bow with red crinkle ribbon that I purchased on Etsy. I hope those of you …
