Cricut Cut Teacup Gift Holder

Hi friends, This post is for you CRICUT lovers!  A cheery little cup of tea for the holidays! You’ll find this project in the  Cricut Craft Room Project Center and you can download the cut file for free!  All the detailed instructions are there too. (Accent Essentials and A Child’s Year cartridges used for this project)  This is so simple and quick to make for those last minute little gifts for friends and family, teachers, and neighbors. Plenty of room on the back to write a thoughtful sentiment too!  It can easily hold a gift card instead of the two teabags if you prefer!  What I love about this little cup is that it stands on it’s own thanks to the ‘saucer’ under it!  Let me know what you think of this project and I’d love to know if you try it too! Have a creative day! Deena

Anything BUT a Card Valentines for Kids

The Crafty Creations challenge this week is ANYTHING BUT A CARD: VALENTINES FOR KIDS! Also, at Delightful Challenges the theme is Valentines, Anything but a card too, so I am entering their challenge as well.  Digital Delights is our sponsor! I made two little gift boxes using my cricut to cut the templates.   The papers are from the new  ECHO PARK Yours Truly paper pad. I’ve colored ‘love you Larry’ and ‘love birds’ by Digital Delights for my tags. Pillow Box: Easter 2012 (use contour hide so it doesn’t cut the bunny out) Cut at  appr. 5 x 5 1/2″ Spring Holiday Cards CRICUT cartridge cut trtbox3 at 7″ x 4 1/2″ Come join in with your projects at Crafty Creations and if you have valentine projects/cards you would like to share you can also enter my challenge HERE.

Cricut Design Studio Santa Hat

I have been playing with the Cricut Design Studio, trying to learn the ins and outs of it.  It allows me to design my cards and projects on my computer, then cut the necessary pieces once I have everything worked out.  I love how this lets me visually create, and it saves me wasting paper because I’m sizing everything on the page exactly as I want it before cutting anything.  No guessing! Love it!!  Besides that, I can save all my templates to simply cut the same pieces another time to easily recreate the card or project as many times as I like…no more writing down (or forgetting to write down) all the different sizes that I cut this and that at! I made this santa hat card for Christmas, using  the Joys of the Season cartridge. I started by welding the hat image together to create a card base.  Then I added the dotted dp layers, the mistletoe branches and the sentiment.   The snowflakes were cut at 1″.    I made the same flipped cuts …
