Squigglefly

It’ time for another Squigglefly challenge!  Are you up for it? It’s a Clean and Simple Holiday Theme! I used Holly Ribbons cuttlebug folder to create the embossed background and snowflakes border spellbinder dies for the red panel.  The image is my own “Country Church” available at Squigglefly.   I added some fun flock which I find looks a little dirty in the photo, but is nice and white in real life! A nice easy CAS card for the challenge this week!  I hope you’ll join us at SQUIGGLEFLY!  Please remember to use a Squigglefly image (freebies count too!) to be eligible for the prize. My 6 month term is already finished as part of the Squigglefly DT!   Wow, did that ever fly by!  I had so much fun being on Marlene’s team (GO Marvels!)!!  But don’t be sad, I’ll still be showing you Squigglefly image projects and sharing with my Squigglefly pals!! Thanks to Holly and the Squigglefly team!  Have a creative day everyone and see you over there for the challenge! Deena …

I have written a new cricut project tutorial for a Baby Christening card framed with soft ribbon.  Of course the framing technique could be used for many different card occasions, not just for baby’s christening.  Just change up the colors and the image!  You can see the full tutorial with step by step photos at CUSTOM CROPS.  They have fabulous projects there and always FREE for you!  I always appreciate your comments and questions if you have any!  Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the Custom Crops tutorial!  Deena Related articles Published! A New Image, BUY ONE Get TWO!

Did you know that  October is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH?  I wanted to do my *small* part in showing my support and helping spread the word.  Research is so important, and we  can  be a part of the movement to end all cancers.  Just by sending  our cards to those fighting cancer can do so much to help!  As you know there are many card drives going on in our crafting community and they need all of our support.  Will you join in? SCS is having their 2nd annual Hope You Can Cling To Card Drive and I made this card to show my support.  The image I’ve used is a new one I drew after a little birdie whispered in my ear that it would be a good idea to draw something for cancer awareness.  She is absolutely right!  I hope that the sale of this image will benefit ALL OF US!   HOW WILL IT BENEFIT CANCER RESEARCH?  $1.00 from every sale of this “Hope Branch” image  from my ETSY shop, will be …

Happy New Year!!

Hi everyone!!   Happy New Year to you all!! Our family had a great time with friends and family over Christmas and New Year’s!  I hope you did too. I just have a couple of simple last minute Christmas cards that I didn’t have a chance to share with you before the Holidays.  I still want to show you though, because I thought they were sweet and simple, so a good idea for next year! These are small 4″ square.  The base is embossed with Holly Ribbons cuttlebug folder for a festive beginning, then a panel of Bazzil textured red card stock cut to 3.5″ by 1.75.   Front and center for the little drum by Flourishes, and the tree by Imaginisce, stamped in a golden green.  I brought some bling with the red and green gems for the finishing touch! Thanks for taking some time out to visit me, I hope you enjoy what you see! Deena

Birthday Wishes

This is the first card I’ve made for 2010! I had a great Holiday spending a lot of quality time with our families and enjoying the festivities over Christmas and New Year’s, but I’m happy to get back to stamping now!  I’m hoping I’ll have lots time to get creative this year! Today’s Featured Stamper on SCS is Ardodd and I wanted to case a birthday type card since I will be needing a few very soon.   Anne’s gallery is filled with wonderful inspiration and it wasn’t hard to find a card to case.  Here’s what i came up with after a few changes.  I basically kept the sketch and the embossed layer the same and changed the rest for my card. Paper: white card stock, rose card stock Ink: Memento tuxedo black Stamps: Stampin’ Up! For a Friend, House Mouse Make a Wish Accessories: Copics R29, R 24, R20, E00, E11, E33, Y00,  heart brad, Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder After having had a houseful of guests for the last 6 days, and all …

Be Merry and CAS!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend! How was Thanksgiving for those of you in the U.S.A?  Wonderful,  and busy I expect!  We took a quick trip to my Sisters and then on to my Mom’s house over the weekend. They live an hour apart, and 3 hours away from me.  It felt so great to see my Sister and her family and of course my Mom and Grandma!  It’s so hard to say goodbye though.  My Grandma is 86 and each goodbye gets harder. I did get some nice photos of us that I will try to post soon! This is just a quick post today to show you the latest cuttlebug design card I made.  It is clean and simple and I think just perfect for mass producing!   I decided to sell a few of these in my Etsy Shop too. I’ve made it for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge this week as well- winter theme. The top part of the white panel is embossed with snowflakes using the cuttlebug and …
