Hello friends! I thought I’d share how this ‘Wild Thing’ CAS card for this month’s A Creative Need challenge was made. I was playing with a masking/paint technique. I masked the moon with a circle punch and painted over it with two shades of yellow, then while still a little wet, stuck clear wide packaging tape over it and peeled it off again to give it a worn look. When dry, I scanned it so I could use it as a digital element, as seen here. Using My Memories Software I simply placed my A Creative Need Wolves image and resized it to the size I wanted, then added in the image of my masked moon and layered it over the wolves. All that was left was to add in my sentiment. So simple, and I’m very happy with the result! Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!! I’ve used my WEDDING BUBBLY digital image to create this sparky gold wedding card for my niece. She had a non traditional wedding in early September and it was a blast! I danced my feet off; SO MUCH FUN!! This image is in my FREEBIE section here on my blog for a little while longer, so grab it while you can! It’s a fun image that is pre-colored in gold and would work wonderfully for New Year’s cards, anniversaries or any romantic celebration! And remember, I love to see what you create, so please do shout it out and let me oooh and ahhh over your creations!! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by; you know I love it when you do 😉 Deena

I thought today I’d share this page I made using a couple of my digi images and Cottage Arts Letting Go digi kit. My inspiration for this page came from CSI: CASE FILE #55 challenge. I’ve use COFFEE GIRL and HOT CUP OF COFFEE available at A Creative Need. I used My Memories Software to create the layout and used embellishments, and papers to created the layout. I added the butterfly to my coffee cup and some blue brush strokes. I did my own word art for the sentiment which was inspired by Easily Mused Six Word writing prompt sentence…”I could think of nothing more than its sweetness”… As I made the page I was thinking how wonderful it would be if only peace and unity were as easily shared as a cup of coffee. After some contemplative conversations, my friend and I joke that between the two of us and a good cup of coffee we could solve all the worlds problems if only the rest of the world would listen and …

Hmmm, well it seems I am a little late with my cards this week! I had a busy Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and my Mom was in town visiting with us since Saturday. I enjoyed our time together, but after she left this morning I was trying to play catch up with some challenges and card making! I made my card for a couple of challenges, one of which was the DIGITALLY SWEET CHALLENGE to make a 100% digital CARD FRONT. I missed the entry time by 8 minutes! lol!! CRAFTY CREATIONS has a photo inspiration challenge … from which I was inspired by the inky blues and the feather for my card… I layered my card with digital papers from STUDIO GARNET and used a vintage swan for my main image. I added a double layer of stitching in black and navy, embellished with a vintage digi button, and then digitally stamped the sentiment all using My Memories Suite Software.
