Butterflies

I’ve been busy making French birthday cards for an order I have to fill and this is one of them,  inspired by the STAMP SOMETHING challenge using bugs or butterflies. I used some pretty dp, a cut out butterfly using my cricut expression, and added a birthday sentiment stamped on a tag and hung with an eyelet. Challenges I played in: By the Cute and Girly: Things with wings Fresh Brewed: 3 of anything C.R.A.F.T: Butterflies Thanks for stopping by!  I don’t have time to write much today, as my little boy is sick with a sore throat and fever and we’re doing quiet activities to keep him from feeling too blue . He’s sad that he cannot go  see his friend who just came home from Dubai after a year of being away!  Hopefully we won’t need a trip to the doctor’s, but time will tell. Have a great day! Deena

New In Color blitz!

Hey everyone!!   Hope you all had a great weekend!  Here we are back to our routines and almost Tuesday!  We had a lovely weekend.  We took the boys to see the new Ice Age movie  and  we had dinner with friends on Saturday, and then a bbq with family on Sunday.  Busy but fun!! I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge yesterday.  I turned the sketch, changed the colors and dp, and used a different, yet similar stamp.    I am enjoying these bright yummy new In Colors from Stampin’ UP!  How about you?  Sometimes I find I need time to let the colors sort of grow on me, but this time I really like them!  I might get a little sick of them after a while, since I usually like softer colors, but, for now I’m having fun! I played with my copics again with this image.   I don’t have any brown so I used Memento rich cocoa for her hair.  I love that my old satin purely pomegranate ribbon matches so well …
