More Challenge Inspiration

Here we are already more than halfway through the month of February, and time for some more inspiration from the ACN team! GAIL is sharing this stunning pop up card! What a wonderful background she has created here for these ACN WOLVES.   KREN has created a magical look with her wintry background in hues of purple and greens while adding the fibers as a textural element.   …and I paint spattered my ¬†background. ¬†Inspired by the Snow wolves of the Canadian arctic, I went for a wintry white and blue. Come and join us for the ‘WILD THING’ CHALLENGE! We can’t wait to see what you will do! You will find the WOLVES image ¬†and other nature inspired ¬†images at the A Creative Need shop!

Coffee With Friends

Hi everyone. ¬†I have a quick CAS card to share that I’ve made for three CAS challenges. ¬†Yay! They got my mojo going today! First up CAS(E) this Sketch: and Addicted to CAS: Code Word COFFEE and last but not least CASology code word: JUMP (as in…coffee jump starts my day! And if I have too much it makes a little jumpy :)) I used A Creative Need LOVE ME A CUP OF COFFEE image and ¬†digital dp. ¬†I colored the cups with copics. Thanks for stopping by today!¬† Deena¬†

Over the Edge

CAS-ual Fridays’ challenge this week has gone OVER THE EDGE! ¬†And I just had to join in! I colored the ACN¬†¬†LOVE BIRDS image with copics and cut them out. ¬†I placed the birds on a watercolor background that I painted using Corel Painter Essentials. ¬†Then, I punched a simple border for the bottom and added a splash of color with the felt foam flowers and buttons. ¬†I also added a tab ribbon in the bottom right for Splitcoaststamper’s challenge ‘tags &tabs’ that I think helped balance out the over the edge look of the birds at the top left. Challenges: CAS-ual Fridays– ‘Over the Edge’ Addicted to CAS– LoVe I’m so glad you stopped by! Deena

I have a guilty conscience…and just have to admit…that I spent an ENORMOUS amount of time perusing LilyBean Paperie’s blog today! ¬†Melissa’s cards are so inspiring! ¬†I probably should have been doing laundry or sweeping, but I just couldn’t help myself! ¬†Although I know I could not make a card that comes close to her beauties, I do take some comfort in knowing that I can take a few elements of her gorgeous style and incorporate them into my CAS style. I loved the look of her ¬†‘Speak love’¬†CARD and I took the element of key and banner and made a little tag to mount on on this lavender 4 1/4 square card. The CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers¬†this week is ‘tags & tabs’ ¬†which also helped inspire this card. ¬† The vintage key was a gift form a fellow blogger and the paper is digital dp ¬†that I created using my own Pear Blossom stamp. ¬†I paper punched the heart and used a metallic gold paint pen and glitter pen to give it a golden …

Case Study Cherries

This week’s Case Study caught my eye! This is my take on it. Instead of a painted backdrop, I made a sponged grunge frame in green and added my cherries image. I painted the CHERRIES using Corel Painter. ¬†I created the sentiment (computer generated), printed it ¬†on canvas textured card stock and finished with a little red button . Have a creative day and thanks for stopping by! Deena

A Couple of Post Christmas Cards

Just before Christmas I cased a card from my friend Peggy’s SCS gallery; I loved all the layers! ¬†She had suggested that we case a card from each other’s gallery when we got together last, which was a lot of fun! ¬†So here is what I did… I used ACN’s¬†Christmas Wreath¬†for my image. and Peggy made this card casing a card from my SCS gallery…. I love the papers she chose! She also used an ACN Image called BELLS and HOLLY. Thanks for stopping by; I hope you are keeping well as I know there are alot of colds and flus around this time of year! ¬†Try to stay healthy and have fun crafting!¬† Deena
