Forever

I have a guilty conscience…and just have to admit…that I spent an ENORMOUS amount of time perusing LilyBean Paperie’s blog today!  Melissa’s cards are so inspiring!  I probably should have been doing laundry or sweeping, but I just couldn’t help myself!  Although I know I could not make a card that comes close to her beauties, I do take some comfort in knowing that I can take a few elements of her gorgeous style and incorporate them into my CAS style. I loved the look of her  ‘Speak love’ CARD and I took the element of key and banner and made a little tag to mount on on this lavender 4 1/4 square card. The CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week is ‘tags & tabs’  which also helped inspire this card.   The vintage key was a gift form a fellow blogger and the paper is digital dp  that I created using my own Pear Blossom stamp.  I paper punched the heart and used a metallic gold paint pen and glitter pen to give it a golden …

Avec Amour Tags

Here are a few tags I made using my Eiffel Tower image.  I added one to my husband’s gift on Valentine’s Day; yellow is his favourite color! Avec Amour for those of you who may not know, means With Love. Hope you’re having a creative day!  Deena

Admit One Love Bird

I thought I’d share a card  today that was inspired by several fun challenges! The Crafty Creations Challenge theme is Valentines/hearts so I thought it was perfect to use my new  images for Valentines: ‘Love Birds’ and ‘Valentine Ticket’. Moxie Fab world’s Trigger Tuesday “winter blossoms” was what sparked the whole idea hence the blossom framing around the blooming hearts and love birds. CR84FN’s Color Challenge is yellow, soft pink and a neutral and it was love at first sight!!  These colors are gorgeous together and I just had to use them! Mojo Monday’s fabulous SKETCH brought it all together! The VALENTINE TICKET image is a FREEBIE!  You can DOWNLOAD it HERE. Shall We Dance?

Hello!!  Have I mentioned…..that my blog readers are the best!! You have all been so great with your kind comments about my images! I want you to know how very much I appreciate it.  It is so encouraging to know that you like them and want to use them on your own projects. My first ever  ‘freebie’ was downloaded almost 400 times!!  Pleasantly surprised is an understatement!  Now I can’t wait to see what you all do with it! Today I made an anniversary card for the COLOR THROWDOWN  challenge.  I thought these colours  would work beautifully with a romantic image, so I used my “Shall We Dance?” silhouette image.   I sketched the image while watching Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing, in some old movie clips.   I was so inspired by their graceful movement and  thought it would translate well as a silhouette. Shall We Dance? image is available at A Creative Need. I’m so glad you had a moment to stop by!! Have a creative day! Deena

Blowing Kisses

Hi Everyone!   It’s time for another Crafty Creations Challenge card!   The adorable bear blowing kisses is an image from our sponsor this week, Sweet ‘n Sasssy Stamps.  Korin is so sweet she sent over a few different digi images for the DT to play with.  The rest of the design team has made some fabulous Valentine creations with them!  Have a peek  at their work at CRAFTY CREATIONS.  The theme is  VALENTINES/LOVE so pop on over and play! I used some delicious Bittersweet Basic Grey Paper on a Chocolate chip  card stock base.  Funny…I have a craving for chocolate now!   The big heart was cut at 4 1/2″ with the Cricut machine, and the little hearts are punched. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a creative day!!

All My Love

It’s all about the love… I’ve made today’s card for the Flourishes new release “season of love” challenge.   It may sound corny, but I always feel like I’m coming home when I use Flourishes’ stamps!  I really love them, and feel so comfortable using them.  I’m sure we all have stamps like like that.  This is one of my favorites, so it was perfect for this card! I stamped the image first and colored it with Copics: R20, R29, V01, YG93, YG99 I was inspired by a mosaic tutorial by Beate, and it brought to mind my little used stained glass backgrounder.  So I thought I’d show it some love, and inked it up with versamark ink. I stamped it directly over the image and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.  Using my Tim Holtz ink applicator I sponged over the entire area with pink pirouette ink, and then buffed it with a paper towel. I cut the image out with my Spellbinders Nesties Labels One dies and popped it up on foam adhesive tape.  …
