Anything BUT a Card Valentines for Kids

Hi all! I’ve made a quick CAS card today. We are having our main living areas of our home painted this week, so we had a lot of prepping to do on all the walls, and moving furniture out of the rooms etc.! Phew, it is nice to take a break. I am so excited though about getting this done, as the walls really need it! I’ve picked some warm colors too instead of the boring old white!
So here’s my clean and simple card for today using the SCS CAS challenge colors today; pink, celery and white. I colored up my A Creative Need ‘Orchids’ with copics.

Well, I guess this means I should get back to plastering some walls…lol I will let you know how it turns out! :)
How about we make some Valentine cards? Easy right??

Now on to my card for today! I made a CAS card using my new ’COUNTRY HEART CHAIR’ image. These NEW IMAGES are available as of today at SQUIGGLEFLY and A CREATIVE NEED…

A chair can have so much ‘character’ and charm don’t you think? They are so appealing to me; I just had to add a chair to my image collection! We had a sweet rocking chair with a heart cut into the chairback for my boys when they were little, and that is what inspired me to draw this image.
I made a CAS design by top folding a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ white cardstock, and layering it with a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″ scored panel (scored at every 1/2″). I coloured the chair with warm grey and putty copics and matted it with a panel of grey cardstock. I used Stampin’ Up warm words ‘welcome’ sentiment and tied a simple bow of earth tone hemp twine.
I thought I’d share a card today that was inspired by several fun challenges!
The Crafty Creations Challenge theme is Valentines/hearts so I thought it was perfect to use my new images for Valentines: ‘Love Birds’ and ‘Valentine Ticket’.

Moxie Fab world’s Trigger Tuesday ”winter blossoms” was what sparked the whole idea hence the blossom framing around the blooming hearts and love birds.

CR84FN’s Color Challenge is yellow, soft pink and a neutral and it was love at first sight!! These colors are gorgeous together and I just had to use them!

Mojo Monday’s fabulous SKETCH brought it all together!

The VALENTINE TICKET image is a FREEBIE! You can DOWNLOAD it HERE.
