Blue Bird

I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS last night.   Jo (reddyisco) has many beautiful cards to take inspiration from!  I found one that I wanted  to case, but used a different stamp and colored it with copics.  The background embossing is done in the cuttlebug with the Floral screen folder.  I added a green edge punched panel in place of her ribbon and a button instead of a bow.  I’m so happy with how it turned out!  I really like this little Flourishes bird and branch together from the Home Tweet Home set. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Deena

Paris

A friend of mine on Splitcoaststampers is the Featured Stamper this week!  Congratulations Sue!! I made a card inspired by her card you can see on SCS.  Of course in keeping with the challenge I changed a few things, such as leaving off layers, I used no ribbon, and there is no sentiment. I used the cricut to cut the Eiffel tower and set it against a red dp that I stamped with a  Tim Holtz French Marketplace stamp. I added a vertical punched strip using Martha Stewart’s fancy edge punch as well. Maybe someday I will actually see the Eiffel tower in person, but until then, I will keep on dreaming!  Have a wonderful week everyone! Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day! Deena

Clean and Simple Halloween

I made a CAS Halloween card today inspired by a card from Alimarbles gallery on SCS (Ali Manning).  She is the Featured Stamper today and has such a wonderful style! I kept her clean and simple design, but made a Halloween card instead of a Valentine.  The ribbon loop can hold a tootsie roll or rocket candy roll as a quick Halloween treat for a teacher or classmate. Thanks for stopping by!! Deena

Pumpkin Patch

The Featured Stamper on SCS this week is hobbydujour (Sallie) and her gallery is fabulous! I chose this lovely card in her gallery to inspire my card above. I started with a kraft card stock for the base and added a panel of green core impressions card stock. I sanded it lightly and distressed all the edges.  The image is colored with Copics.  I stamped a Flourishes Autumn Flourish sentiment and a leaf in bamboo versacolor in the background.  The dp is Bobunny Fall Festival.  I’m very happy with how this turned out! CHALLENGES: 4 Crafty Chicks FAll theme Stamp Something Fall colors Thanks for stopping by! Deena

Featured Stamper Distressed Texture

This card was inspired by the Featured Stamper (Terri A.k.a Die cut diva) today on SCS. I used Distress crackle paint, applying it to the kraft cs to get a textured cracked surface.  Then, I stamped various flowers, the  brick wall, and splatters on the 2″ x 2″ squares.  The squares are mounted on a 4.25″ bermuda bay panel of cardstock.  The finished card is 4.5″ square.  The bird is from 7gypsies clear stamps, cut out and popped up on  dimensional foam tape.

A masculine birthday card using my cricut and the Summer in Paris cricut cartridge. This was inspired by the Featured Stamper Vicki D’s card on SCS.  I used Cosmo Cricket Get Happy dp. for the layers and the base card is black cardstock lined with with white.  The french sentiment for happy birthday is from Bonnidee stamps.  Getting the car off the mat without ripping the design was tricky as this was cut at 1 1/2″.   I managed though, and then I ran it through the zyron sticker machine so I could adhere it to the car’s base layer in white. I’m off to bed now as the construction of our deck starts bright and early in the morning!  So if all goes well, we will have a new deck off the side of our pool by the end of the week! Yeah!! Have a great night! Deena

Tulip Trevor

I forgot to upload this sweet C.S designs card and thought I’d share it tonight!  It is a Featured Stamper CASE of Stephanie’s card. I used a C.C Designs image and added a die cut from my Walk In my Garden Cricut cartridge. The potted blooms and the background shaped panel are cut with the Cricut. “Tulip Trevor” by C.C designs is hand cut and colored with copics.  I also pierced the corners and the flower pot.  The dp is Basic Grey Marrakech. I will be posting a fantabulous GIVEAWAY by the end of the week, so please check back! Thanks so much for stopping by !! You know I love your company!! 😉

A Birthday in full Bloom

Birthday blossoms in the shape of a cake!  This cute stamp is an oldie but a goody from MFT You Take the Cake set.  I stamped the background in Rich Razzleberry with a flower stamp from SU! Live Like You Mean it! set.   The “Bonne Fete” birthday greeting is from Bonnidee stamps.  I cased this lovely card HERE from the SCS featured stamper.  Of course I changed things…flipped the sketch, changed the colors and used different stamps, and a different border punch.  I used my Cricut to cut the frame. Hope you like it! It was a busy weekend with my  Son’s 9th birthday party on Sunday.  He had a great day for his pool party! We were so happy, because it rained for three days leading up to it!  We couldn’t have had a better day; it was hot, sunny and perfect. Thanks for stopping by, and have a creative day! Deena
