It’s Game On! with a FREEBIE Designer Pack

I’m pitchin’ in for Peggy this week as she started a new job and is extremely busy! So I hosted this week’s Crafty Creations Challenge for Team Two and had time to join in by making a card too! I’ve used my NEW IMAGE: “Pitchin’ In” that I am releasing today in my A Creative Need SHOP. I made a HYBRID card using my new MY MEMORIES SUITE software to create everything except the kraft background and base card.  The baseball and the bat are stickers and I’ve wrapped baker’s twine around the left edge. I used a  My Memories Suite designer pack to create the digital elements of this card!  It was easy: I opened the MyMemories Suite software and chose my album size (I chose 4″ x 6″ for a printable card project).  I  clicked on Embellishments, ADD, ‘browse others’ to open my downloaded  designer pack. I added the papers and elements I wanted to use to create my card, and when I was finished, I clicked: SHARE ALBUM ====> EXPORT PAGES and saved …

Thinking of You

This is a quick and simple card I made for the CAS challenge on Splitcoaststampers using Arizona Maine’s  CAS card as a sketch. I used a simple floral from Stampin’ Up, stamped in red, and added a cluster of blue and clear gems.   The colors were inspired by the red yellow blue color challenge combo on Splitcoaststampers  as well. Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day! ! Deena

A Photo Inspiration Challenge

Crafty Creations Challenge this week is a PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge that my teammate Bernie suggested!  It’s a lovely festive photo that inspired me to use the colors and celebratory theme in my card. Here’s what I was inspired to make…I also used two types of RIBBON  to qualify for the Crafter’s Cafe Challenge! It runs all month long, so check it out! I used a Unity stamp colored with copics,  a Kaiser craft sentiment and some lovely new Echo Park Springtime paper.  I added the sheer wired ribbon for embellishment. Come join us at Crafty Creations for this week’s challenge! Thanks for stopping by;  it’s great to see you here and I am so happy to be finding some time (and being inspired) to craft!! Hugs, Deena

Heartfelt Birthday Wishes

I was playing with  My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software and came up with this clean and simple  birthday card! I did a short review of My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software in my last post if you would like to know more about the software and what it can do.  There’s still time to enter my giveaway for your own chance to win My Memories Suite V. 3 software!  See the previous post to enter. I used elements from the free digital kit Smooches: Flowers and hearts papers, and included with the software: quilted memories paper in rose. The clothespin is an element added in from the novelty embellishments. So fun! I used the heartland font that I downloaded free HERE for the birthday sentiment. I did my best to use the shadow feature which really helps to create depth and dimension to the objects.  I love this fabulous feature, and with a little more practice I’m sure it will be a very effective tool. I’m so glad you stopped by today and as always, if …

My Memories Suite Software Review and Giveaway

Hi!  I’m excited about sharing this with you today!   I have not done much scrapbooking in the past, aside from a few pages when my boys were babies.  I found that it took too much of my time.  Anyone with me on that point?  I found that card making gave me  instant gratification for my creative needs and I kind of gave up on scrapbooking.  I always felt bad about it though, since I have all these fabulous photos that I am not doing anything with!  They can’t all be framed and hung on a wall right?! So, with that said, when I was asked to review the digital scrapbooking software My Memories Suite, I saw it as a great opportunity to see if  digital scrapbooking would be a faster and easier option for me than traditional scrapbooking. I have not  previously used digital scrapbooking software, other than playing around with Photoshop (which I was mostly frustrated with), and I found My Memories Suite to be very intuitive and user friendly by design.  I …
