Christmas Tag

Hello! Have you seen this week’s CRAFTY CREATIONS CHALLENGE   We are challenging you to CASE or draw inspiration from this card by TIETS!   This gorgeous creation inspired me to make some tags!  I didn’t case it outright of course, but I loved the beige tones and Christmas theme and the tags so… here is what I did … I’ve used one of San’s Design images.  SAN’s DESIGN is our Crafty Creations sponsor this week! Be sure to take a look at her beautiful images, and come play with us at CCC! Have a wonderful, creative day! Deena

Vintage Style Coin Envelopes with Video Tutorial

After seeing some cool coin envelopes for sale at my SBS, I just had to try making my own!  I used Kraft cardstock and black Memento ink, handcut the envelopes which was super easy, and then added eyelets with a punched circle base to wind and secure my twine for the closure.  They measure 3 1/2″ x 2″.   I can think of so many great ways to use these…scrapbook pages, art journals, mini gift packaging, to hold tags and little notes….the list goes on! I want you all to share in the fun with these cute little coin envelopes so I’ve included a video tutorial.  I really hope you like it! Let me know what you think; I’m happy to get some constructive criticism,  this is the first video of this kind that I’ve made!  I would also love to know if you do try this out!  I think they are fun to make and I plan on making many of them! For anyone not interested in making these on their own (I know there …

Spring Tags

This little bird and sentiment are Flourishes stamps, stamped in vintage photo ink on soft blue card stock.  The edges are sponged as well for a vintage inspired look.  They are strung with paper cord in a dark chocolate. The Easter tags below are stamped  with Stampin’ Up! stamps on vanilla cardstock with rich cocoa ink and sponged around the edges with Ranger Distress broken china ink. The sun is out but it’s still quite cold here in Montreal…I’m so looking forward to warmer Spring days! Thanks so much for stopping by!  You know I enjoy your company! 😉 Deena

Cherish Blue Bird Tags

I’m making some new tags, and thought these would be lovely for a wedding wish tree or as a gift tag for a bridal shower or wedding gift.  The bird is a Unity Stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin’ Up!   Each tag is tied with 8 inches of baby blue paper cord  from fastrunningfox.  They measure 1 3/4″  x  2 3/4″. Find these and more in my SHOP !

Home For the Holidays Tags

I love making tags!  For these I’ve used the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge to weld a little house to the tag base. Then I simply cut the base, cut another house out of  dp (Pink Paislee Father Christmas), stamped, sponged and added baker’s twine for the tie! The tag is 1.75 inches wide and 3 inches tall.  Here’s a pic of all three… I used Memento rich cocoa ink to sponge the edges and stamp the snowflakes.   The sentiments are stamped in broken china Distress Ranger Distress ink, and rich cocoa. Thanks for stopping by!! Deena

Welcome Home

I was working on tags for my shop with these cute house images when I saw the perfect sketch in Lori Tecler’s gallery! She is the Featured Stamper this week on SCS. I used the same sketch as hers: Weirdos.  I added a layer, changed the stamps, dropped the sentiment tag, added the sentiment to the center stamp and used a checkered ribbon for embellishment. Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Good Neighbors, Warm Words Paper: basic black, whisper white Accessories: ribbon And here are the tags too, available in my ETSY SHOP. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Deena

A Little Someone

Spring… a time for new beginnings and BABIES!!  Crafty Creations challenge this week is all about babies.  They need not be human babies, there are lots of cute babies in the animal kingdom too! I used Stampin’ Up!  Muir dp, kraft cardstock and a vanilla tag.  This little image is called “Dreampuff” by House Mouse. The cotton ball puff is flocked in white, although it’s hard to see that in the photo.  I used the sentiment from the BEST YET Stampin’ Up! set,”a little something…”  but just inked up the part I wanted with a black Memento marker. CRAFTY CREATIONS is having a DT CALL!!  If you would like to possibly join us on the team, leave a comment at CCC and a link to your card and blog so we can find you! Thanks for stopping by!!

Silver Embossed Tags/Tree Ornaments

I made these silver embossed tags tonight and I was originally thinking they would be pretty paper ornaments, but then realized they would be great as tags too.  So maybe I will use them for both. I embossed the Unity bird, and Flourishes sentiment stamp in silver embossing powder.  I also added a little dazzling diamond glitter to the bird for some extra sparkle, tied a sheer purple ribbon and silver cord to the top with an eyelet setting.  The die cut shape is Nestabilities Labels Four. I’ve entered this in the Simon Says “Merry Christmas” challenge where all they wanted us to do was say “Merry Christmas” in some way. 🙂 My friend Rosana whom I’ve met blogging, has asked if I could share some info with you all. This is an appeal to all CAT LOVERS! http://adoteumgatinho.uol.com.br/ Adote um Gatinho (meaning Adopt a Kitten) is a foundation that rescues cats and prepare them for adoption. They have been nominated for a prize and if they receive enough votes by December 28th they will …
