Blue Bird

I made this card for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS last night.   Jo (reddyisco) has many beautiful cards to take inspiration from!  I found one that I wanted  to case, but used a different stamp and colored it with copics.  The background embossing is done in the cuttlebug with the Floral screen folder.  I added a green edge punched panel in place of her ribbon and a button instead of a bow.  I’m so happy with how it turned out!  I really like this little Flourishes bird and branch together from the Home Tweet Home set. Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Deena

Stationery Note Sets

I made these stationery flats and thought I’d enter them into the SCS Free4All Friday challenge and Flourishes Cut above the Rest challenge.  They’re clean and simple , but  elegant too, I think. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the decorative top edge backed by the olive and Night of Navy cardstock bases.  The navy stationery is stamped with a Flourishes Tag Lines stamp.  The  notes above have a stamped quote  from Stampin’ Up.

Crafty Creations Button challenge

Phew it’s been a HOT few days here in Montreal!  My boys and I have been fully enjoying our pool! Am I ever glad we finally decided to put one in!  It’s been heaven having a way to cool off and spend some fun time with them and my husband when he gets home from work! Having the boys home from school is proving to be fun but I sure don’t get much work done with them around!  That would be fine, except I have my niece’s wedding invitations to finish in the next two weeks, and a big birthday card order, as well a few other projects to get done this summer.  I hate to stay indoors working when my boys want to play and I need to be out there with them if they want to swim.  I started a daily routine of  reading with them. We’re reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing  by Judy Bloom.  AND no T.V or video/computer games in the afternoon!  I read to them for half an …

A Birthday in full Bloom

Birthday blossoms in the shape of a cake!  This cute stamp is an oldie but a goody from MFT You Take the Cake set.  I stamped the background in Rich Razzleberry with a flower stamp from SU! Live Like You Mean it! set.   The “Bonne Fete” birthday greeting is from Bonnidee stamps.  I cased this lovely card HERE from the SCS featured stamper.  Of course I changed things…flipped the sketch, changed the colors and used different stamps, and a different border punch.  I used my Cricut to cut the frame. Hope you like it! It was a busy weekend with my  Son’s 9th birthday party on Sunday.  He had a great day for his pool party! We were so happy, because it rained for three days leading up to it!  We couldn’t have had a better day; it was hot, sunny and perfect. Thanks for stopping by, and have a creative day! Deena

Birthday Cards!

Hi! It’s another beautiful hot day here in Montreal! I had a wonderful long weekend with the boys, swimming in our new pool, and have been spending most of my time outdoors! You know what that means…not a whole lot of stamping going on! I do have to get more birthday cards done and I have 70 wedding invitations to make for my niece, so I really should get inside my craft room…but it’s soooo hard when I’m enjoying the first sunny hot days of the season! I wish I had a craft area outdoors! lol These are some french birthday cards that I made last week.  They are clean and simple but I tried to use some eye catching colors for some pop! Have a wonderful, creative day!!!! Deena

I was working on tags for my shop with these cute house images when I saw the perfect sketch in Lori Tecler’s gallery! She is the Featured Stamper this week on SCS. Thinking of You

Hi!  I hope you all had a good weekend! Here’s a card I made last night casing the featured stamper on SCS.  Pat Smethers is a wonderful stamper and has a beautiful gallery!!  The card I chose to case is HERE.  To play the challenge and CASE a card of Pat’s I had to change at least three things on her card.  I changed  things  and kept in mind a few challenges that I might play along in as well as this one. 1. I used a different stamp image and made it a “twinchie” (2″ x 2″ ) 2. I did not use any dp 3. I changed the border 4. I left off the ribbon, and the paper flowers 5. I added a sentiment, and tiny pearls. STAMPS: Bird on a Branch SU! (sentiment), Flourishes Spring Ephemerals INK: Memento tuxedo black PAPER: white, black and pink cardstock ACCESSORIES: tiny pink pearls, MS lattice border punch I’m entering this into these Challenges: Flourishes New Release “Twinchies” CCEE Stampers: Silhouettes Thanks so much for stopping …
