I made a CAS card using my new A Creative Need ‘Holiday Door’ image available at C.Y.D.I on Friday. Vampires and Bats

It’s FALL Y’ALL!!  Crafty Creations Challenge is looking for FALL COLORS: RICH REDS, WARM BROWNS, GOLDEN YELLOWS and  EARTHY ORANGES.  I decided to make a Halloween card inspired by the Fall color challenge using Digital Delights Vampire Pippin digi image. My card is 100% digital!  I’ve colored the image using Corel Painter Essentials and then designed my card using My Memories Suite Software.  I’ve used a brown textured background paper, and a yellow textured ribbon and embellishing with bats, and stitching across the ribbon strip.  I love the shadow feature to add some depth to card elements. At Checkout, copy/paste this Promo Code STMMMS31200 and you’ll receive $10 discount on the software AND $10 at the store! I really do love using this software and highly recommend it to everyone who loves to craft with digis! Have fun! Kindy Garden Time

I had the pleasure  of playing with a kindy garden image by Megan Tucker for the Crafty Creations challenge this week!  The challenge is a fun and easy one since it’s a FREE FOR ALL! I used Mojo monday sketch #249  for this card as it seemed to fit perfectly with these papers and the image.  I love these papers by the way, they’re all from First Edition paper pad: Hideaway.   I colored ‘ballerina’ with copics in tea rose and pale pinks, and added some teal gems to her hair and top, and the bottom corner of the card. I hope you all have a creative day and don’t forget to stop by Crafty Creations for the challenge this week!    Deena x

Something New

Did any of you get some new crafting goodies to play with over Christmas?  Did you pick up some new papers or stamps at that fabulous boxing day sale?!  Well, Crafty Creations Challenges wants to make sure you use all those shiny new things! The challenge this week is SOMETHING NEW!  Use a NEW tool, stamp, embellishment, paper, or even a new (to you) technique!  The SPONSOR this week is      SEW MANY CARDS I received some new Cricut cartridges for Christmas! Yay!  I’ve used  frame 2 from my Fancy Frames cartridge cut at  3 1/2″ .  I cut it from a darker shade of sage green and then cut the Frame 2 layer in a paler sage.   The image is printed and colored in copics on cream cardstock. I punched 3 small hearts from the pale sage to add around the frame edge and then added two little heart buttons tied with twine for a sweet finishing embellishment. Crafty Creations is Recycling!

Peggy thought  we could use any recycled item we have hanging around our crafting tables or in our craft rooms.  Easy and good for the environnement right!  Right Peggy!!    I’m happy to say that I’m sponsoring this week’s Crafty Creations Challenge with images from A Creative Need!  I am blown away by the creativity of the team with their recycled projects!! They are aaaaahhhsome!!  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to see what they all came up with and to play the challenge of course!  Here’s what I did using my brand spanking new image available as of today!  “Dear Santa”  I colored him with prismacolor pencils aiming for a well lived in, classic look.  The edges of the image are sponged with pumice stone ink and backed with a piece of recycled kraft paper from an old card.  Then I matted that with Chestnut glitter AC card stock that my son had bought for me last Christmas.  I recycled some broken brads by using crystal effects to adhere them to the …

Old Saint Nick

November already!   Hard to believe…or is it that I just don’t want to believe it?  My 7 yr old son asked me today how many days left before Christmas and I was shocked when I realized it’s only 54 more days!  A little over 7 weeks!!  That kind of floored me. Oh, well at least I’ve started making a few Christmas cards! Peggy is hosting the challenge at Crafty Creations this week and it’s a color challenge! Silver, Purple, and Green…and some  ‘snow’ of any kind.   Stretch n Bubbles is our sponsor this week! I’ve used one of their adorable images on my card today, colored him with Copics and added some silver glitter to the star and some Fun Flock snow texture to his beard and hat.  I embossed the background with Holly Ribbons embossing folder and spritzed it with silver sheer shimmer spritz by Tsukineko.  It was hard to photograph all these elements, but I hope you can still tell that they are there. It is very pretty up close! I’ve …
