Christmas Challenge Inspiration

A few more CAS CHRISTMAS cards,  from a couple of our lovely ACN ladies for our challenge this month. Aren’t they beautiful? Gail has embossed her layers which has huge impact on a CAS card, and Kren has used  color and pattern while keeping embellishments to a minimum to maximize visual interest in her CAS card! GAIL using Vintage Christmas Stocking KREN using Holiday Door and I’ve made a CAS card with my vintage style SANTA adding a simple punched border… Come join in our CAS Christmas challenge! And don’t forget you can pick up your FREE DIGI IMAGE HERE. Have fun crafting and enjoy the Holiday Season!! Hugs, and happiness to you and your families, Deena

Holly Ribbons Christmas Card

I’ve created the sentiment using My Memories Suite Software‘s word art feature.  I replaced the O with my ACN CHRISTMAS WREATH image, and embossed the whole panel with a Cuttlebug Holly Ribbons folder.  I love the festive look the embossing gives this simple card!   What do you think? Have you entered my contest? You could win 3 A Creative Need digital images just for leaving a comment on this POST. Check it out! Squigglefly

It’ time for another Squigglefly challenge!  Are you up for it? It’s a Clean and Simple Holiday Theme! I used Holly Ribbons cuttlebug folder to create the embossed background and snowflakes border spellbinder dies for the red panel.  The image is my own “Country Church” available at Squigglefly.   I added some fun flock which I find looks a little dirty in the photo, but is nice and white in real life! A nice easy CAS card for the challenge this week!  I hope you’ll join us at SQUIGGLEFLY!  Please remember to use a Squigglefly image (freebies count too!) to be eligible for the prize. My 6 month term is already finished as part of the Squigglefly DT!   Wow, did that ever fly by!  I had so much fun being on Marlene’s team (GO Marvels!)!!  But don’t be sad, I’ll still be showing you Squigglefly image projects and sharing with my Squigglefly pals!! Thanks to Holly and the Squigglefly team!  Have a creative day everyone and see you over there for the challenge! Deena …

Ladybug Hello

StamperCamper (Mary) is the Featured Stamper this week on SCS.   She has a wonderful gallery of cards to look through and I was inspired to case a cute hello card. In keeping with CASING   a card, I changed it in a few ways to put my own spin on it.  I kept the sketch the same but flipped it, used ladybugs in place of her buttons on the punched circles, used different colors and added a HI in place of a hello. I also used baker’s twine instead of ribbon to finish it. The ladybug and the ‘Hi’ are  mini rubber stamps from my local scrapbook store, sold at the checkout and unmarked so I am not sure who makes them.  I bought the baker’s twine at ETSY.

Birthday Wishes

This is the first card I’ve made for 2010! I had a great Holiday spending a lot of quality time with our families and enjoying the festivities over Christmas and New Year’s, but I’m happy to get back to stamping now!  I’m hoping I’ll have lots time to get creative this year! Today’s Featured Stamper on SCS is Ardodd and I wanted to case a birthday type card since I will be needing a few very soon.   Anne’s gallery is filled with wonderful inspiration and it wasn’t hard to find a card to case.  Here’s what i came up with after a few changes.  I basically kept the sketch and the embossed layer the same and changed the rest for my card. Paper: white card stock, rose card stock Ink: Memento tuxedo black Stamps: Stampin’ Up! For a Friend, House Mouse Make a Wish Accessories: Copics R29, R 24, R20, E00, E11, E33, Y00,  heart brad, Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder After having had a houseful of guests for the last 6 days, and all …

Silver Embossed Tags/Tree Ornaments

I made these silver embossed tags tonight and I was originally thinking they would be pretty paper ornaments, but then realized they would be great as tags too.  So maybe I will use them for both. I embossed the Unity bird, and Flourishes sentiment stamp in silver embossing powder.  I also added a little dazzling diamond glitter to the bird for some extra sparkle, tied a sheer purple ribbon and silver cord to the top with an eyelet setting.  The die cut shape is Nestabilities Labels Four. I’ve entered this in the Simon Says “Merry Christmas” challenge where all they wanted us to do was say “Merry Christmas” in some way. 🙂 My friend Rosana whom I’ve met blogging, has asked if I could share some info with you all. This is an appeal to all CAT LOVERS! http://adoteumgatinho.uol.com.br/ Adote um Gatinho (meaning Adopt a Kitten) is a foundation that rescues cats and prepare them for adoption. They have been nominated for a prize and if they receive enough votes by December 28th they will …

White Christmas

Here’s my all white card today for our twisted sister’s challenge.  Shirley (we lovingly refer to her as the bus driver) sets the  challenges and always comes up with something fun! Making an all white card, no image, and only black ink for a sentiment was quite the challenge!  It really inspired me though and this is what I came up with.  Let me know what you think, it was kind of  intimidating at first.  Would you try an all white card? Jump on the bus with us at Splitcoaststampers if you want to, just add TSC1016 to your keywords. I really can’t wait to see what the others have done for this challenge! I’ve layered an embossed panel of white on a card base of white. I figured I’d apply the same rules to my all white card as I do when making a monochromatic card…layers and lots of texture!!   I glittered some of the embossed snowflakes with dazzling diamond glitter from Stampin’ Up!  EVERYTHING is covered in glitter now; me, my craft room …
