Inspired CASE Study

Hello friends!   March is finally here.  The sun kindly came out this weekend and just in time for my birthday which I celebrated Sunday!  Although it’s still cold, and will be for a little while yet here in Montreal,  I am hopeful that Spring is not too far off in our future! To share my hopeful spirit with you, I have another CAS card to show you today.  I’ve combined two challenges;  CASE STUDY #180 and the Inspiration Challenge on SPLITCOASTSTAMPERS. First up is Danielle Flanders‘ card inspiring us at CASE STUDY this week…SO PRETTY! I chose this photo as my inspiration from the IC430 site POLYVORE : and fell in love with the colors! and here is my card that is a result of being inspired by both challenges… I hope it puts a little hope in your hearts for the forthcoming Spring! Have a wonderful day!  Deena

Teacher Thank You

My son gave this card to his Grade 6 teacher.  I hope she liked it! I used my My Memories Software program  to create the note and sentiment and added in my VINTAGE SCHOOL BOOKS image, coloring in only the apple. I printed this top layer, punched two holes in it an inch apart and tied the black ribbon in a bow, then mounted it to a black base card.  I used a piece of white  4″ x 5.25″ cardstock for the inside. Thanks for stopping by!   Have a creative day!! Deena

ACN Thank You

The A Creative Need digital Freebie this month is this ‘Little Jar of Flowers’!  I thought I’d make a thank you CAS card with it.  I added a cluster of flowers for the background and then the sentiment.  What do you think?  It’s the first card I make for 2013…it was about time huh?! Pick up the Freebie and make your own! If you’d like to join in this month’s ACN challenge, it’s easy… It’s a color challenge: blue, beige and white.  Add your link to the sticky post at the top of my blog, and oh ya…have fun!! CHALLENGES: Everybody Art challenge-pastel colors Southern Girls Challenge– Thank you kindly Simply Create– linky party anything goes Have a creative day!!  Deena

Wise Words Challenge

Crafty Creations challenge this week is WISE WORDS – use a quote or saying in our creations!  Simple enough!  I decided to use a Christmas quote as I am still making my Christmas cards. I’ve designed my card using My Memories Suite, adding in snowflakes and my Vintage Holiday Mailbox.   I’ve colored the ribbon in Christmas red, and added a little sparkle to the snowflakes.  I thought this quote by Marjorie Holmes was appropriate to the season, as well as the image! Thanks for stopping by, and have a creative day!  Deena

Feel Better Soon!

Do you know someone right now who is feeling a little under the weather?  With Fall comes the onset of cold, wet weather, and the kids back in school spreading around germs, so unfortunately, it’s hard to fend off all those colds and flu! Now is the time to make those much appreciated GET WELL cards!  Crafty Creations is looking for GET WELL creations, so come and join us! I’ve colored Fresh Brewed Designs images with copics and followed RETRO SKETCHES sketch challenge for my Get Well card.  I’m also entering this into the warm and fuzzy DIGITAL TUESDAY CHALLENGE. Hope to see you at Crafty Creations! Deena

Back to School!

Didn’t the summer go by too quickly!??  It flew by for us! I can hardly believe that my boys are already back in school and either do they.  I wish I could have had just a couple more weeks…<sigh> But there is a positive side to everything I guess…it may just give me a little more time in my craft room! I’ve made a card for this week’s Crafty Creations challenge.  The theme if you haven’t already guessed is BACK TO SCHOOL! 🙂 I’ve used an image from Robyn’s Fetish as they are sponsoring the challenge this week.   This boy reminds me of mine as they are both computer savvy and spend a lot of time playing all kinds of games as well as doing projects and research during the school year.  I’ve use My Memories Suite software to create the paper background including the smily face, a +, and paperclips at the bottom.  I printed and copic colored the image, and attached the red paperclip.  I’ve used kraft cardstock on white cs for …
