Dancing a Two Step!

Yes I’m dancing a two step for Sharon’s notimetostamp blog challenge. Sharon is having a week long celebration and it’s going to be FUN!  Today’s Stamp Simply challenge asks us two create something using a two or three step stamp and try to incorporate flowers or butterflies a la StampincuzILuv2‘s Dee, Sharon’s featured stamper this week!

I was limited to a choice of three, two step stamps, and I chose this one because I have always thought it to be so beautiful, yet have not used it that often. Time to ink it up again!

I also used Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge #56 as my starting off point. I tweaked it a bit by changing it to a square card, and stamping the image on the second layer, instead of giving it it’s own panel.

The MFT Boho Blossom is stamped directly on the dp, as well as the words Friendship, joy and love. You may have to look very closely to see the latter two! 🙂  The outline is stamped in Pink Pirouette, and the solid, in Bravo Burgandy inks.

This may not look simple at first glance, but most of what you are looking at is decorative paper, making this a simple card to make! After stamping the two step and the words, on the gorgeous Basic Grey Sugared dp, all I had to do was layer it up and add the ribbon and hardware.  The strip on the ribbon, passing through the ribbon slide is from the same decorative paper as I used on the first layer.
