Music/Dance Crafty Creations Challenge

This week Melissa has set her very first Crafty Creations challenge and is asking for a MUSIC OR DANCE related theme for our creations!  I decided to make a votive candle cover (battery operated NOT flame).  The digital image and paper are from the fabulous TIDDLY INKS, our sponsor this week!

I printed the dp, then put it through the printer a second time to add in this sweet fairy(Fairy Fae catches a Star).  I colored her with my copics, and added some dazzling diamond glitter (Stampin’ Up!) to her wings and some of the stars in her hair.  I also added a tiny turquoise gem in her hair.  The sentiment is from Verve (Wild Thing) and makes me think of the song “Every little thing she does is Magic” by the Police.

I simply folded the paper in thirds to create a somewhat triangular tube, keeping  a half inch edge at the back to secure it shut with some 1/4″ tacky tape.  I punched a heart shape on all three sides to let some shimmery light escape through.

It was a fun piece to make and I hope you like it too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. What a sweet votive cover. She is adorable, the crochet ribbon trim is a beautiful touch. Wonderful job on the project. I have yet to make one of these still. Great job

  2. Wow Deena, great project. Love how you’ve printed the fairy straight on to the DP & love all her sparkle.
